No charge. No separate per-item charge is published, because bulky material is collected on the regular weekly service that the household pays for on its city utility account. The county collection centre refuses mattresses outright, so the curb is the local route.

Get it ready
Wrap the mattress and box spring completely in plastic before they go out. Keep the load within the bulk allowance of about five feet by five feet by five feet at the curb, and do not put the item in a contractor bag, which is not collected.

Cut carpet and wood into four-foot lengths, roll or bundle them under 35 pounds each, and remove or hammer down nails and screws.
