Taking it somewhere yourself?

Household bulky items and appliances ride the city waste contract when the hauler is called ahead, and mattresses and upholstered pieces have to be wrapped in plastic. Material the contract excludes, including tires, household hazardous waste, lead acid batteries, liquid paint, large automobile parts and construction debris, has to go elsewhere, and the county recycling convenience center on Jackson Pike takes tires and appliances from Franklin County residents for published fees. The county center also runs a mattress and box spring recycling window through November 30, 2026, with condition rules.
