Finish clearing the space
The last few things still deserve a pickup.
You have decided what is going. Now give those bags and boxes a pickup day, with a price you can see before anyone arrives.
The move is nearly done.
Book the unwanted bags and boxes left after packing. Choose an available pickup day before you hand back the keys, and arrange to have them outside.
The clear-out can be finished.
You do not need a whole house of junk. Select the bags, boxes and larger items you actually have. Your combined price is shown online.
You want to know it is handled.
When the next collection does not fit your plans, choose a Dropcurb pickup day. Updates keep you informed, and completion photos show when the booked items are gone.
A few simple choices turn a mixed pile into a clear booking. No need to estimate how much of a truck it might fill.
Filled bags and boxes
Count each trash bag or filled household box. Books and media go by the box. Clothes, bedding and shoes go by the filled bag. Toys packed together have a Box of toys choice. Ask us about unusually heavy or oversized bags and boxes first.
Empty cardboard and containers
Empty cardboard is a different choice: choose single empty boxes or tied bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Compacted bales have their own weight-based choices and require loading-dock access. A Storage bin choice covers the empty bin itself; ask us to confirm the contents if they are going too.
Furniture and other larger items
Add the actual larger item alongside your bags and boxes, such as a sofa, chair or mattress. It has its own price and preparation. Keep construction materials and items needing special handling out of ordinary household bags.

Strongsville contracts rubbish collection and curbside recycling to Republic Waste Services, so the hauling, the pickup day and the holiday calendar all come from the contract rather than from a city crew.
City cost & eligibility
No residential collection rate is published on the retained pages, so confirm the charge with Republic Waste Services on (440) 572-7590 or the temporary number (440) 258-5215.
When & how
On the household's collection day, with trash at the curb by 7 a.m., and no collection on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving or Christmas.
Get it ready
Have everything at the curb by 7 a.m., check the address on the hauler's pickup day search if the day is unclear, and use the current contact number: the city prints (440) 572-7590 and a temporary line, (440) 258-5215, in use from August 2026 until the regular line is fixed.
Strongsville takes large items at the curb on the regular trash pickup day, naming appliances, sofas, doors, dressers, mattresses and other furniture, and the Foltz Parkway Transfer Station is the alternative for a load the household would rather drive in.
City cost & eligibility
No charge. Neither the curbside large item collection nor the resident drop-off at the Foltz Parkway Transfer Station carries a published fee, so no charge is asserted. The station is open to Strongsville residents with proof of residency.
When & how
At the curb on the regular trash collection day, or at the transfer station Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and weekends from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Get it ready
For an appliance going to the curb, have the refrigerant removed by a certified professional and the unit tagged, because Republic will not pick it up without the tag, and remove the doors from freezers and refrigerators. An appliance taken to the station instead skips the tag requirement because Republic removes the refrigerant there. Cut carpeting into three foot sections and roll and tie it in bundles no heavier than 35 pounds, keep televisions out of the recycling bags, and put sharps in a heavy labeled container.
An appliance can leave Strongsville on either route, but the conditions differ. At the curb it needs a certification tag and its doors removed; at the transfer station the city states that the refrigerant no longer has to be removed because Republic Waste does it.
City cost & eligibility
No charge. No appliance fee is published for either route, so no charge is asserted, and the station route includes the refrigerant removal at no stated cost to a resident with proof of residency.
When & how
At the curb on the regular trash day, or at the transfer station during its open hours.
Get it ready
Choose the station if the household cannot arrange certified refrigerant removal, because that route removes the refrigerant on site. If it goes to the curb, have a certified professional remove the refrigerant, tag the unit, and take the doors off a freezer or refrigerator, and keep the appliance out of the recycling bags. A working appliance can also be donated to the Cleveland Furniture Bank on (216) 459-2265.
Strongsville does not run a separate bulky day: appliances, sofas, doors, dressers, mattresses and other furniture go out at the curb on the regular trash pickup day. Carpeting is cut into three foot sections and tied into bundles under 35 pounds, and televisions stay out of the recycling bags.
An appliance going to the curb needs the refrigerant removed by a certified professional and the unit tagged, with the doors taken off a freezer or refrigerator, and Republic will not collect it without the tag. The same appliance can go to the Foltz Parkway Transfer Station instead, where the city states that the refrigerant no longer has to be removed because Republic Waste does it.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

Put large items out on the regular trash day
A household with a sofa, a mattress, a door, a dresser or another large item, and with an appliance that can be tagged.
Cost & conditions
No charge. No separate fee is published for large items on the regular collection route, so no charge is asserted, and any appliance set out this way still needs the certified refrigerant tag.
Arrange it
Set the items at the curb on the regular trash pickup day, with carpeting cut into three foot sections and appliances tagged as required.
The regular collection day only, doors removed from freezers and refrigerators, a tag required on an appliance with refrigerant, and televisions kept out of the recycling bags.

Take the load to the Foltz Parkway Transfer Station
A Strongsville household with excess refuse, scrap metal, tires, car batteries, appliances or brush.
Cost & conditions
No charge. No fee is published for the resident drop-off, which is open to Strongsville residents with proof of residency.
Arrange it
Drive to 16099 Foltz Parkway behind the Municipal Building, using the driveway along the railroad tracks, and check in with proof of residency during the open hours.
Residents only with proof of residency, no remodeling or construction waste, tires off the rim only, no grass clippings, leaves or liquids, no building material or masonry, and the site is under video surveillance with fines for illegal dumping.

Recycle in blue bags on the trash day
A household with flattened cardboard, paper, cans, cartons, glass and plastic bottles and tubs.
Cost & conditions
No charge. No separate curbside recycling fee is published. The blue bags are bought by the household where trash bags are sold, which is a retail purchase rather than a city fee.
Arrange it
Combine the material in blue recycling bags, or in blue grocery bags, and set them at the curb on the regular trash collection day.
Cardboard has to be flattened to four feet by four feet or smaller, everything must be empty, clean and dry, televisions and electronics stay out of the bags, and caps go back on rather than loose in the bag.
Self-hauling in Strongsville means driving to the Foltz Parkway Transfer Station behind the Municipal Building, reached by the driveway along the railroad tracks and open weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and weekends from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Strongsville residents with proof of residency can drop excess household refuse, scrap metal, tires off the rim, car batteries, appliances and brush there, and the station removes the refrigerant from an appliance so the tag requirement that applies at the curb does not apply on site. Grass clippings, leaves, liquids, construction waste, soil, rocks, bricks and concrete blocks are refused. Leaves have their own fall program at the curb, with a pile by 7 a.m. on the Monday of the collection week, one pass per street, and bagging for the regular trash day if the pass is missed. Cardboard and the rest of the recycling stay in the blue bags on the regular collection day, flattened to four feet by four feet or smaller. Before you book
A few things worth knowing.
Bulk junk removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Strongsville.
How much does bulk junk removal cost in Strongsville?+
A trash bag is $59 as the first item and $10 additional. A filled household box is $59 as the first item. Add your actual items and quantities to see the combined price before booking. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; any applicable sales tax is shown before payment.
Can you pick up bags of junk today?+
Book by 2pm in the pickup address’s local time for same-day pickup. Available dates appear at checkout. Have the booked bags and boxes outside and accessible according to your confirmation. You receive pickup updates and completion photos; the booking is for a day rather than an exact arrival time.
Do I count every object inside a bag or box?+
No. Count the filled bags or boxes using the matching choice. Books and media go in Filled household box; clothes, bedding and shoes go in Bag of clothes & bedding; packed toys have a Box of toys choice. Empty cardboard is separate, with individual empty boxes and bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Heavy, oversized or unusual contents need a photo review before booking.
Can you pick up a small loose pile of household junk?+
Yes. Estimate how many trash bags the small household pile would fill, and bag or box as much as possible. Select furniture and other larger items separately. There is no extra charge just because the pile is loose. Send a photo first if the count or contents are unclear. A household Dumpster Bag choice does not accept construction debris.
Can I book bags, boxes and furniture together?+
Yes. Select the bags and boxes, then add each larger item using its own catalog choice. The booking shows one combined price for the selected items. Move everything to an accessible outdoor spot before pickup; indoor carrying and sorting are not included. Keep anything you want to retain apart from the booked items and identify what goes in your photos and notes.
