Metro Central at 6161 NW 61st Ave in Portland is open to the general public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, and Metro South at 2001 Washington St in Oregon City serves the same role. All facilities are closed on the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's days, and the expert line is 503-234-3000.
Waste that belongs at the transfer station has to go there rather than to the hazardous waste facility, and Metro asks for hazardous waste in containers smaller than five gallons where possible.
