Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and renovation debris

Not on the regular city route

Construction debris is not collected in the carts or on the bulky waste day, so a renovation load leaves through a hauler drop box or a self haul to a Metro transfer station.

City cost & eligibility
Construction debris is not accepted in the weekly carts or in the curbside bulky waste collection. It leaves in a hauler drop box rented under the published rate schedule, where a 10 or 20 yard loose material box lists at one rate and 30 and 40 yard boxes at higher rates plus disposal, or on a self haul load to Metro with its per ton garbage, mixed wood and clean wood rates.
When & how
Order the drop box from the hauler that serves the address, or haul the load to a Metro transfer station during posted hours.
Get it ready
Sort the load before it moves: clean wood that is free of paint, stain, hardware straps and shipping labels is charged at a lower Metro rate than mixed wood or garbage, and separated recyclables earn a rebate at the scale. Railroad ties four feet or shorter are accepted from non-commercial customers, and flat or built-up roofing is refused outright.

Bulky waste day and oversized items

Accepted with preparation

The City runs one free curbside bulky waste collection each June for single-family homes, with a five bag or one couch limit and a published item list.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Included for single-family residents with current solid waste service inside Milwaukie city limits, with costs covered by the garbage and recycling fees the City Council sets. Residents of multifamily units and commercial account holders are not eligible.
When & how
The collection runs on the second and third Saturday of June, June 13 and June 20 in 2026, with the weekend fixed by address. Items go out by 4 a.m. and no call ahead is needed.
Get it ready
Bag smaller items up to 30 pounds, tie long loose items such as lumber, blinds, pipes, brooms and mops into bundles no longer than six feet and 30 pounds, roll and tie carpet to the same limits, bag styrofoam, and keep loose piles out of the set-out. Everything collected is treated as garbage and landfilled, so donation, reuse and recycling come first.

Hazardous waste goes to Metro with limits

Metro takes household hazardous waste free with a daily limit of 35 gallons measured by container size, and businesses need a permit, an appointment and a fee. Products stay upright in sturdy boxes with lids secured, leaking containers go into zip top bags, bulbs are wrapped rather than taped, and electric vehicle batteries, most explosives, very large containers and radioactive material are refused.

Weekly service from the franchised hauler

Milwaukie households that need garbage, recycling and yard debris collection at the curb.

Cost & conditions
From $34.72 per month for the smallest published residential can service, with recycling and yard debris included in the weekly collection rate. The three franchised haulers charge the same uniform rates, which the City Council sets each year. Larger cans, roller carts, extra cans of garbage or yard debris, redelivery and on call service carry their own published amounts.
Arrange it
Contact the hauler that serves the address to start service, and use that company for missed collections, carts and pickup scheduling.

The City cannot schedule or resolve a missed pickup, and it directs residents to their hauler instead. The June bulky waste day is the only bulky route included in the rates.

June curbside bulky waste day

No charge. Included with the garbage and recycling fees the City Council sets. The event is limited to single-family residents with current service inside Milwaukie city limits, and multifamily or commercial account holders cannot take part.
Arrange it
Check the map for the June weekend assigned to the address, then set accepted items where the carts normally go by 4 a.m. on that Saturday.

The set-out cannot exceed the equivalent of five garbage bags or one couch, and refrigerators, freon appliances, televisions, computers, construction debris, paint, propane tanks, plate glass, rocks and roofing are not accepted.

Year round hauler bulky pickup

Households that cannot wait for June, or that live in a multifamily building and are not eligible for the City event.

Cost & conditions
From $6 for for a furniture or recyclable appliance pick-up arranged with the hauler, with the published range running to 31 dollars, a freon removal charge added for a cooling appliance, and tire pick-ups charged at a published per tire rate with disposal billed separately. Prices come from the city fee schedule that all three franchised haulers follow, so the household confirms the exact amount with the company that serves the address.
Arrange it
Call the hauler that serves the address, describe the items and quantities, and confirm the pickup day.

Hourly truck and crew rates apply to work that does not fit the published item pick-up categories, and tires are billed per tire with disposal on top.

Hauler drop box for a renovation load

Households and contractors with a cleanout or renovation load that no cart or bulky set-out can carry.

Cost & conditions
From $177 for for a 10 or 20 yard loose material drop box from a franchised hauler, before disposal costs, with 30 yard and 40 yard boxes priced higher and special waste boxes carrying their own published rates. The published schedule adds deposit limits, a one stop service charge, rent after five working days without collection, a monthly equipment fee for lidded or specialty boxes, mileage beyond a published round trip distance, and a deadhead charge for boxes that cannot be exchanged.
Arrange it
Order the box from the hauler that serves the address and confirm placement, the rental period and the disposal terms before it is dropped.

Disposal is charged on top of the box rate, so the load cost depends on weight and on what is separated, and the deposit and mileage terms vary with the site.

Milwaukie households that haul their own loads use the Metro transfer stations. Metro South at 2001 Washington Street in Oregon City is open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily and charges a minimum for loads up to 240 pounds plus the published per ton rate above that, with a transaction fee per load and a higher rate for uncovered loads. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Milwaukie.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Milwaukie?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Milwaukie?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

How does a Milwaukie renovation load leave the property?

In a hauler drop box, which is rented under the published rate schedule with the box rate charged plus disposal, or on a self haul trip to a Metro transfer station that charges by weight with lower rates for clean wood and yard debris. Construction debris is not part of the bulky waste day.Official guidance

How much can go out on Milwaukie's bulky waste day?

The set-out is limited to the equivalent of five garbage bags or one couch, with smaller items, styrofoam, carpet and long loose items each bagged or bundled under 30 pounds and no longer than six feet, and no more than six tires without rims.Official guidance

Is the bulky waste day a recycling event?

No. The City states that it is not a recycling event and that everything collected is treated as garbage and sent to a landfill, so residents are asked to consider donation, reuse or recycling first.Official guidance

What does Milwaukie charge for a bulky pickup?

The June bulky waste day costs nothing beyond the garbage and recycling rates the City Council sets, inside the five bag or one couch limit for eligible single-family addresses. A pickup at any other time of year uses the published hauler range for furniture and recyclable appliances, with a freon removal charge where refrigerant is involved and per tire rates for tires.Official guidance

Who collects trash in Milwaukie and how do I reach them?

Three franchised haulers serve the city: Waste Management on 800.808.5901, Hoodview Disposal on 503.668.8300 and Clackamas Garbage on 503.656.9633. A household starts service, schedules pickups and reports missed collections with the company that serves its address, because City staff cannot schedule or resolve a missed pickup.Official guidance

What will the bulky waste day leave at the curb?

Refrigerators and appliances containing freon, televisions and computers, construction debris, daily garbage, paint and hazardous waste, fluorescent fixtures and bulbs, propane tanks, engines, broken glass, glass larger than two by four feet, plate glass, rocks and roofing materials are all ineligible, and anything outside the quantity or weight limits stays behind as well.Official guidance

Where do Milwaukie residents take paint, batteries and chemicals?

To a Metro household hazardous waste facility, which is free for households with a daily limit of 35 gallons measured by container size. Metro Central at 6161 NW 61st Avenue in Portland and Metro South at 2001 Washington Street in Oregon City both run hazardous waste hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and businesses need a permit, an appointment and a fee.Official guidance
