Wipe personal data from a computer or tablet before it leaves the house, keep electronics out of the curbside carts, and take no more than seven qualifying items in one visit so the free limit is not exceeded.
Hazardous items go to the free facility, not the curb
Paints, automotive products, batteries, cleaning products, compressed gas cylinders, fluorescent bulbs, mercury, medical sharps, pool chemicals and yard chemicals go to the household hazardous waste facility, which is free for households up to 35 gallons a day measured by container size. Material should travel upright in sturdy boxes with the lids secured.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

From $37 for for a sorted minimum load such as clean yard debris at the lowest published rate, with clean wood at 42 dollars and garbage at 51 dollars per load up to 240 pounds, per ton rates above that, and a transaction fee on each load. Residential customers hauling their own load, with free lines for metal appliances, electronics within a seven item daily limit, recyclables, and motor oil and antifreeze within a 20 gallon daily limit.

Load the vehicle, cover it, and drive to 2001 Washington Street in Oregon City, open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pay at the scale, and ask for the recycling rebate if the load includes recyclables.
Vehicles and any vehicle with a drive motor, asbestos containing material, burnt material, flat and built-up roofing, loads of liquids, petroleum contaminated soil, radioactive metals and electric vehicle batteries are refused. Coolant appliances are limited to five a day per person and are charged per appliance.

Take the material to Metro South at 2001 Washington Street in Oregon City, open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., packed upright in sturdy boxes with lids secured. Metro Central on NW 61st Avenue is the other free site, open Monday to Saturday over the same hours.
Both facilities are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's days, and there is a 35 gallon daily limit. Businesses are not served without the permit and appointment process, and the county runs separate programs for batteries, medications, paint through PaintCare and medical sharps.
