Get it ready
Break the machine down as far as it comes apart, keep the frame, deck and console parts together, and keep it out of the yard debris and wood waste lanes because furniture and similar items are refused in those streams.
Household garbage and construction debris carry a minimum charge for the first 500 pounds and five dollars for each additional 100 pounds, with Negus capping construction debris at ten cubic yards per load and sending larger volumes to Knott Landfill. Yard debris, wood waste and clean fill run seven dollars a cubic yard, appliances eight dollars each or twenty with refrigerant, and tires four dollars each or six on a rim. A properly covered and secured load earns a ten dollar rebate.
