Get it ready
Keep the mattress out of the weather, because wet, soaked or filthy units are refused, and leave behind anything with severe mold, bed bugs, excessive stains, fire damage or crushing. Box springs must be fabric covered, and air mattresses, car beds, sofa beds, futons, crib mattresses, pillows and cushions are all refused.
Curbside comes from the hauler, disposal from the county
Redmond residents receive waste and recycling collection from a licensed hauler, with Republic Services, formerly High Country Disposal, holding the Redmond area on 541-548-4984. Yard debris and food scrap service is available within city limits only. Everything that will not fit the cart goes to the county instead, either to the Negus Transfer Station inside Redmond or to Knott Landfill in Bend, and the county charges by weight, volume or item depending on what is in the load.
