The move is nearly done.
Book the unwanted bags and boxes left after packing. Choose an available pickup day before you hand back the keys, and arrange to have them outside.
The clear-out can be finished.
You do not need a whole house of junk. Select the bags, boxes and larger items you actually have. Your combined price is shown online.
You want to know it is handled.
When the next collection does not fit your plans, choose a Dropcurb pickup day. Updates keep you informed, and completion photos show when the booked items are gone.
A few simple choices turn a mixed pile into a clear booking. No need to estimate how much of a truck it might fill.
Filled bags and boxes
Count each trash bag or filled household box. Books and media go by the box. Clothes, bedding and shoes go by the filled bag. Toys packed together have a Box of toys choice. Ask us about unusually heavy or oversized bags and boxes first.
Empty cardboard and containers
Empty cardboard is a different choice: choose single empty boxes or tied bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Compacted bales have their own weight-based choices and require loading-dock access. A Storage bin choice covers the empty bin itself; ask us to confirm the contents if they are going too.
Furniture and other larger items
Add the actual larger item alongside your bags and boxes, such as a sofa, chair or mattress. It has its own price and preparation. Keep construction materials and items needing special handling out of ordinary household bags.

Springfield's bulky route is the annual free Spring Cleanup for city residents, with the Lane County transfer stations taking anything the event refuses or that a household cannot hold until the event day.
City cost & eligibility
The Spring Cleanup itself is free for residents inside the city limits, with city workers unloading the vehicle. A load that is refused, oversized or enclosed may be redirected to the Lane County transfer station next door, where the resident unloads and the county charges its published rates, with a minimum charge up to one cubic yard and a per-ton rate at Glenwood. Confirm which route your load will take before you drive.
When & how
The city event runs once a year, published on the cleanup page as Saturday, May 15, 2027 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at EcoSort in Glenwood. County transfer stations operate on their own posted hours through the year.
Get it ready
Load the vehicle so everything can be seen and unloaded, because an enclosed vehicle such as a moving truck may be turned away. Keep garbage, household chemicals, fluorescent lights and roofing shingles out of the event load, and separate dirt, rock and concrete from yard debris.
Spring Cleanup is a free event at EcoSort in Glenwood for Springfield residents inside the city limits, and the cleanup page names Saturday, May 15, 2027 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. as the next date. City workers and volunteers unload the vehicle while the resident waits, and the city reports that most of what the event collects is reused or recycled. Sign up for the city's email list to be told the date each spring, and confirm the date by phone at 541-525-2658 because the FAQ page still prints an older year.
The event is for residents living inside the city limits, who show proof of residency such as a driver's licence, and businesses are excluded. Load the vehicle openly, because the city can refuse an oversized load or a load in an enclosed vehicle such as a moving truck and redirect it to the Lane County transfer station next door, where the resident unloads without assistance.
Garbage, household chemicals such as paint, pesticides and aerosol cans, roofing shingles and fluorescent lights are not accepted at the event. Household chemicals are directed to Lane County Waste Management, most lighting and hardware stores take fluorescent bulbs under four feet free, and garbage goes to the landfill or the regular garbage service.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

Cost & conditions
No charge. Free to Springfield residents living inside the city limits, with proof of residency such as a driver's licence. Businesses are not eligible, and an oversized or enclosed load can be redirected to the county transfer station next door.
Arrange it
Drive to EcoSort in Glenwood on the event day, published as Saturday, May 15, 2027 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. City workers unload the vehicle while the resident waits.
One day a year only. Lane County transfer station
Garbage, construction and demolition material, rubble, roofing, rock, dirt and stumps from a household that cannot use the city event or has a load the event refused.
Cost & conditions
The county publishes a 25 dollar minimum charge for garbage or construction material up to one cubic yard, a rate of 123.10 dollars a ton at Glenwood and Florence, and separate pricing for rubble, roofing, stumps, rock and dirt. Rural sites charge by the half cubic yard and cap garbage at ten cubic yards a day per customer, and none of those fees apply at Glenwood. Confirm the current rate for your load before the trip.
Arrange it
Drive to the Lane County transfer station beside the city event site in Glenwood, or to another county station, during its posted hours. The county notes its fees changed on August 10, 2026 and run through July 2027.
The county states that waste fees fund its programmes and that no income or property taxes pay for them, so a self-haul load is never free. Residents unload their own material, and the ten cubic yard daily garbage limit applies at rural sites but not at Glenwood.
Garbage, commingled recycling and yard debris collection for a Springfield household, with a free recycle bin for a household that has garbage service.
Cost & conditions
Sanipac is the city's franchised hauler and sets its own residential rates for garbage, recycling and yard debris service. Neither the city page nor the event pages publish a Sanipac rate or an on-call bulky pickup price, so confirm both with the company.
Arrange it
Contact Sanipac to start or change garbage, recycling and yard debris service, and ask whether the company offers an on-call bulky pickup between city events.
Sanipac's published city page covers cart service rather than bulky items, so a large item still belongs at the Spring Cleanup or a county transfer station until the company confirms otherwise.
Springfield households mostly self-haul, because the city's bulky route is the free Spring Cleanup event at EcoSort in Glenwood rather than a curbside service. That event takes furniture, mattresses and box springs, appliances, electronics, scrap metal including exercise equipment, building material, batteries, Styrofoam, clothing, medications and yard debris from residents inside the city limits who show proof of residency, and the cleanup page names Saturday, May 15, 2027 as the next date. Anything the event refuses, or a load a household cannot hold until then, goes to a Lane County transfer station at the county's published rates, with a minimum charge up to one cubic yard and a per-ton rate at Glenwood. Televisions, computers, laptops and monitors may never go in the garbage under Oregon law and are free through the Lane County electronics programme, and Sanipac, the city's franchised hauler, runs the garbage, recycling and yard debris carts. Before you book
A few things worth knowing.
Bulk junk removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Springfield.
How much does bulk junk removal cost in Springfield?+
A trash bag is $59 as the first item and $10 additional. A filled household box is $59 as the first item. Add your actual items and quantities to see the combined price before booking. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; any applicable sales tax is shown before payment.
Can you pick up bags of junk today?+
Book by 2pm in the pickup address’s local time for same-day pickup. Available dates appear at checkout. Have the booked bags and boxes outside and accessible according to your confirmation. You receive pickup updates and completion photos; the booking is for a day rather than an exact arrival time.
Do I count every object inside a bag or box?+
No. Count the filled bags or boxes using the matching choice. Books and media go in Filled household box; clothes, bedding and shoes go in Bag of clothes & bedding; packed toys have a Box of toys choice. Empty cardboard is separate, with individual empty boxes and bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Heavy, oversized or unusual contents need a photo review before booking.
Can you pick up a small loose pile of household junk?+
Yes. Estimate how many trash bags the small household pile would fill, and bag or box as much as possible. Select furniture and other larger items separately. There is no extra charge just because the pile is loose. Send a photo first if the count or contents are unclear. A household Dumpster Bag choice does not accept construction debris.
Can I book bags, boxes and furniture together?+
Yes. Select the bags and boxes, then add each larger item using its own catalog choice. The booking shows one combined price for the selected items. Move everything to an accessible outdoor spot before pickup; indoor carrying and sorting are not included. Keep anything you want to retain apart from the booked items and identify what goes in your photos and notes.
Does Springfield collect bulky items at the curb?+
The city's bulky route is the free Spring Cleanup event at EcoSort in Glenwood rather than a curbside collection, and the cleanup page names Saturday, May 15, 2027 as the next date. Anything the event will not take, or a load a household cannot hold until then, can go to a Lane County transfer station at the county's published rates.Official guidance
Who collects garbage and recycling in Springfield?+
Sanipac is the City of Springfield's franchised hauler and provides curbside commingled recycling and yard debris collection alongside garbage service. A household that already has garbage service with Sanipac qualifies for a free recycle bin, and the city points residents at Sanipac's Waste Wizard for cart questions and at Lane County's WasteWise tool for transfer station questions.Official guidance
When is the next Spring Cleanup?+
The city's cleanup page names Saturday, May 15, 2027 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at EcoSort in Glenwood, while the FAQ page still prints an older year, so confirm by phone at 541-525-2658 or join the city's email list, which sends the date each spring. The event is free for residents inside the city limits with proof of residency.Official guidance
Where do paint and household chemicals go?+
Not to Spring Cleanup. The event refuses household chemicals and points residents to Lane County Waste Management for paint, pesticides and aerosol cans, and it refuses fluorescent lights as well, though most lighting and hardware stores in the area take bulbs under four feet for free. Confirm the current county arrangement before transporting anything hazardous.Official guidance
Are there limits on what I can bring to the event?+
Yes. Tires are limited to five per vehicle and must be no larger than a 17 inch rim, with no semi-truck or tractor tires, medications must arrive without needles or sharps, and the city reserves the right to refuse an oversized load or a load in an enclosed vehicle such as a moving truck. Plastic items are collected but disposed of as common trash rather than recycled.Official guidance
