When & how
Put the piece at the curb on the regular collection day. Brush and bulk items do not need a request call and are picked up one to three business days after the trash service, with the weekly schedule sometimes slipping in peak season.
Get it ready
Place the junk neatly at the curb, keep it clear of the container and the sidewalk, and keep anything reusable out of the pile. Building material, dirt, rock, car parts and tires on rims are not part of this collection.
City issued roll out containers go to the curb no earlier than noon on the day before collection and come back in by midnight of the collection day. The container has to be in plain view from the street, within three feet of the curb and at least two feet from other containers, mailboxes, utility poles and vehicles, and it must not block the sidewalk.
