Brush, leaves and yard debris

Accepted with preparation

Brush, leaves and yard debris are collected on the city route, with a one-trailer-load weekly brush limit and specific size and bagging rules.

City cost & eligibility
The city publishes no charge for brush or yard-waste collection. Confirm the route day and any current charge with Public Works.
When & how
Yard waste goes out on the household's weekly route day, curbside by 7 a.m. or the evening before, in a pile separate from other bulk and debris items.
Get it ready
Keep brush to one trailer load a week, no thicker than 24 inches, with pieces of 15 to 24 inches cut to no more than 2 feet and smaller pieces no more than 7 feet, free of debris and with no stumps or trunks. Bag leaves and grass clippings outside October through February, and use clear bags.

City of Cleveland Public Works and Bradley County

Use the city bulk and yard waste route

City of Cleveland addresses inside the city limits with household furniture, mattresses or similar bulk items, or with brush and bagged yard waste.

Cost & conditions
The city publishes no charge for this route. Confirm the item, the route day and any current charge with Public Works.
Arrange it
Find the household's route with the street or address search, then set the material out the evening before or by 7 a.m. on the route day.

Demolition debris, hazardous material such as paint and motor oil, tires, block, concrete, dirt, shingles and lot-clearing debris are not collected, and a pile that could damage the equipment is left.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Two systems cover this address. Inside the city, Public Works runs the weekly bulk, brush and yard-waste routes, and it loans a dump truck once a month for regular junk, free of charge and unavailable in November and December; demolition debris, hazardous material, tires, block, concrete, dirt and shingles stay out of both. Outside that route, Bradley County recycles white goods, batteries, used oil and tires for a fee at the landfill on Nature's Trail in McDonald, and runs two recycling yards in Cleveland for glass, paper, cans and plastics. Household garbage is a separate contracted service through Waste Connections rather than a city route, and the county facilities no longer accept electronics.
