Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and demolition debris

Not on the regular city route

Construction and remodelling debris is refused by the city bulk pickup and goes to the county authority, which publishes an accepted material list but no rate.

City cost & eligibility
The city refuses construction and remodelling material in the bulk pickup and the county authority publishes no disposal rate on its pages, so confirm the load and the charge with the Resource Authority in Sumner County at 615-452-1114 before hauling it.
When & how
Take the load to the Resource Authority in Sumner County at 625 Rappahannock Wire Road, open Monday to Friday 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and sort the material before arrival because residents unload their own loads.
Get it ready
Separate the accepted categories, which are concrete and asphalt, wood products including pallets, fencing and treated or painted lumber, building components such as doors, windows, flooring, cabinetry and plumbing fixtures, brick and tile, asphalt shingles, plaster and drywall, and insulation. Keep hazardous material, liquids and industrial waste out of the load, and keep everything out of the city garbage can and the bulk pile.

The garbage can has its own set-out rules

Garbage is collected Monday through Thursday. The can goes to the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled day and comes back within twenty four hours, the handles face away from the street, the lid must close completely, and three feet of clearance is left around the can. Yard waste, construction material such as bricks and rocks, tires and hazardous material such as paint, gasoline and needles are refused, and two free courtesy dumps a calendar year cover a can that was out late, an extra pickup or a can positioned incorrectly.

The county trip covers what the city refuses

The Resource Authority in Sumner County at 625 Rappahannock Wire Road takes construction and demolition material from its accepted list, tires off the rim in a customer-built scissor stack, and batteries and electronic waste weighed at a published per ton rate. It is open Monday to Friday 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and a Tennessee driver's licence showing Sumner County residency is required, with commercial vehicles and commercial loads refused.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self hauling in Gallatin means the city recycling center for recyclables and the county authority for everything else. The Gallatin recycling center at 641 Long Hollow Pike, Gallatin, TN 37066 is open to the public around the clock for Gallatin residents and takes cardboard, paper, metal cans, number 1 and 2 plastic bottles and glass containers, while refusing plastic bags, Styrofoam, non-container glass, batteries and electronics. The Resource Authority in Sumner County at 625 Rappahannock Wire Road takes most municipal solid waste at the transfer station, construction and demolition material from its published list, tires off the rim that the customer loads in a scissor stack, and electronic waste and batteries by weight at a published per ton rate. It is open Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., closed Sunday, requires a Tennessee driver's licence showing Sumner County residency, refuses commercial vehicles and commercial loads at the convenience center, limits motor oil and antifreeze to five gallons a visit, refuses hazardous waste, and asks residents to sort and unload their own material. Paint, cleaners, oil and pesticides wait for the annual fall household hazardous waste collection, whose date and location come from state authorities and are confirmed through the authority at 615-452-1114. Hazardous material, liquids and industrial waste are excluded; a Tennessee driver's licence showing Sumner County residency is required; commercial vehicles and commercial loads are refused at the convenience center; residents sort and unload their own material; and the disposal charge is set by the authority at the scale rather than published, so call 615-452-1114 before hauling.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Gallatin.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Gallatin?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Gallatin?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Where does renovation debris go in Gallatin?

To the Resource Authority in Sumner County at 625 Rappahannock Wire Road, because the city refuses construction and remodelling debris in both the garbage can and the monthly bulk pickup. The accepted categories include concrete and asphalt, wood products such as pallets, fencing and treated lumber, building components such as doors, windows, flooring, cabinetry and plumbing fixtures, brick and tile, asphalt shingles, plaster and drywall, and insulation. Call 615-452-1114 to confirm the load and the charge before hauling it.Official guidance
