The local disposal guide
Kyle contracts its trash, composting and recycling with Texas Disposal Systems, and the same contract carries two bulky routes: twice a year a household can call the hauler for up to three cubic yards of furniture, appliances or bundled brush at no additional charge, and once a month a utility customer can take five cubic yards to the landfill gatehouse for free. Mattresses and tires are the exceptions at the landfill, where both carry an extra fee, and anything chemical goes to the San Marcos household hazardous waste facility instead of a cart.
