A plan for your pile

Finishing the project should include clearing the debris.

Mixed renovation material is hard to describe as one item. A photo-led quote gives you a specific plan for the pile left behind.

Your quote

A quote based on what is actually there.

Send a photo of the whole pile and a close-up of the material. Include its approximate size, your ZIP code and a view of the access.

Mixed or heavy project debris.

Request a quote for the actual materials and quantity. A generic debris-pile price cannot establish the scope of your project.

Already in contractor bags?

The separate contractor-bag item can cover carryable bags of debris at 50 lb or less each, with no dirt or gravel. Describe uncertain contents to our team before choosing it.

Unknown or hazardous material.

Flag unknown contents, chemicals and suspected hazardous materials in your request. A photo request is not acceptance of every material, and this service does not promise remediation or demolition.

Construction and demolition debris

Special rules apply

Construction materials and demolition waste are collected only as fee items in the bulky item service, inside the eight cubic yard limit, and several common renovation materials cannot be collected at all. The current can and cannot lists refuse concrete, dirt, rock, sand, glass, pallets, ceramic tile, sheet rock, roofing material and fencing, and the city's older administrative regulation lists some of those as fee items instead.

City cost & eligibility
Longview publishes no figure for construction or demolition loads. The current public list puts several renovation materials on the cannot-be-collected page while the administrative regulation lists some of them as fee items, so the material and its charge are confirmed with Sanitation at 903-237-1250 before anything is carried out.
When & how
Book a bulky collection with Sanitation and keep the load within the eight cubic yard limit, or take it to the Pine Hill Landfill as a tarped self-haul load. There is no separate construction debris route on the weekly carts.
Get it ready
Sort the load before booking and keep concrete, dirt, rock, sand, glass, pallets, ceramic tile, sheet rock, roofing material and fencing out of a bulky collection, because those are on the cannot-be-collected page. Material produced by a contractor is excluded as well, so a hired crew has to arrange its own disposal.
What bulky items can be collected: the no-charge furniture, lawn equipment and brush list and the fee list for appliances, construction material, carpet, demolition waste and mattressesWhat bulky items can not be collected: loose garbage, hazardous materials, dirt, rock, sand, glass, concrete, pallets, ceramic tile, sheet rock, roofing, fencing, contractor material and refrigerant itemsSanitation collection administrative regulation: the bulky item definition, the four collections per rolling twelve months, the eight cubic yard limit, the fee item list and the excluded materialPine Hill Landfill page: the Republic Services operator, hours, the sanitation customer discount, the tire shredding rule, the refrigerant certification rule and the tarp requirement

Right item.
Right place.

Book a bulky collection before anything goes to the curb

Schedule by calling Sanitation at 903-237-1250, sending a CitySend request or filling out the online form, then put the items out no earlier than the day before the collection. Placing items at the curb authorizes the pickup and counts against the four free collections in the rolling twelve month period, and material left after the eight cubic yards are collected has to come back onto the property.

Carts are out before 7:30 a.m. with everything inside them

Trash and recyclables have to fit fully inside the city-provided carts, and the carts need at least four feet of clearance from cars, trees, trailers and mailboxes, with nothing parked in front of them. Carts go out before 7:30 a.m. on the collection day, leaving them out the night before is allowed, and blocked or improperly placed carts are not serviced.

Garbage and recycling services guidelines: material inside the carts, four feet of clearance, the 7:30 a.m. set-out time and the city-provided cart requirement

Recycling is collected the day after trash day

Recycling now runs one day after the scheduled trash day, and a blue-lidded cart put out early on trash day is skipped and serviced the following day. A cart with household trash or other non-recyclable material in it is tagged and can be removed from the property, so keep styrofoam, clothing, wood, yard waste, bags and food out of the blue cart.

Tarp the load and prepare appliances and tires before Pine Hill

By law every load must be tarped on the way to the Pine Hill Landfill. A tire is refused unless it has been split, quartered or shredded, a refrigerator, freezer or air conditioning unit is refused unless the refrigerant was removed by a certified technician whose certification letter comes with the unit, and oil, oil filters and lead acid batteries are not accepted at the site at all.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

A Longview household that hauls its own load has two destinations. The Compost Site at 2020 Swinging Bridge Rd takes yard waste free from sanitation customers with a current water bill and matching driver's license, turns it into compost and mulch, and also takes glass, and it refuses cross ties, rocks, concrete, construction and demolition waste, pallets, sheetrock, ceramic tile, roofing, landscape timbers, lumber, fence posts, metal, appliances and tires. Everything else goes to the Pine Hill Landfill south of Longview near Highway 31 and FM 1252, which is operated by Republic Services rather than the city, is open Monday to Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., and gives Longview residents with sanitation service a discount that the operator quotes at 800-678-7274. Loads must be tarped by law, tires are accepted only after being split, quartered or shredded, oil and lead acid batteries are refused, and an appliance that held refrigerant needs a certification letter showing a certified technician removed it. Self-hauled household and bulky loads from Longview addresses, waste tires that have been split, quartered or shredded, and appliances whose refrigerant has been recovered by a certified technician with the certification letter.

Oil and oil filters and lead acid batteries are not accepted, an unsplit tire is refused, a refrigerator, freezer or air conditioning unit without a certified refrigerant removal letter is refused, and by law every load must be tarped in transit. The sanitation customer discount does not apply to commercial waste.

Monday to Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from your photo request to the pickup plan in Longview.

Can I book a mixed debris pile online at one price?

Request a custom quote instead. Send photos of the materials, approximate pile dimensions, your ZIP code and access details. The team confirms the work and price before you commit.

What if my debris is already in contractor bags?

Each carryable contractor bag at 50 lb or less, containing no dirt or gravel, has its own catalog option. Do not use a bag count for an unbagged pile or unknown material. Text a photo if you are unsure.

Does pickup include demolition or removing installed materials?

No demolition or disconnection work is automatically included. Describe the current state and access in your quote request so the team can confirm the work it can arrange.

How much does construction debris removal cost?

This service uses a custom quote. Send photos, the approximate amount, your ZIP code and access details. Our team confirms the scope and price before booking; there is no fixed-price catalog item for this pile.

Can you collect it today?

Tell our team your preferred day when you request the quote. Timing depends on the material, amount and access, and is confirmed with your quote. Sending photos does not reserve same-day pickup.

Can Longview collect renovation debris from my house?

Only as a fee item in the bulky item service and only for materials the city will take. The current lists refuse concrete, dirt, rock, sand, glass, pallets, ceramic tile, sheet rock, roofing material and fencing, and any material produced by a contractor is excluded. Call Sanitation before the load goes to the curb.Official guidance

Do Longview residents get a discount at the Pine Hill Landfill?

Yes, residents with sanitation service receive a discount on waste delivered to the Pine Hill Landfill, which Republic Services operates rather than the city, and the current discount amount comes from the operator at 800-678-7274. The discount does not apply to commercial waste, and the load has to be tarped on the road.Official guidance
