No charge. A mattress is a bulky item at the convenience stations, which are included with the regular solid waste fee under the same 3 cubic yard load limit, eight visit yearly allowance and identification requirement.

Take the mattress to any of the four stations on Monday to Saturday between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., and show city identification at the gate.
Get it ready
Keep the mattress dry and tie or cover the load for the drive, since the city asks that loads be covered to prevent spilling, and keep the whole load within 3 cubic yards.
Lubbock's bulky route is a drive, not a set-out: large items that keep a dumpster lid from closing belong at a Citizen Convenience Station. Take the load to any of the four stations between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, closed on city holidays.

Can you pick up my old mattress when my new one arrives?+
You can choose an offered pickup day around your replacement delivery. First check whether the retailer already includes old-mattress removal, and arrange who will bring it outside if needed.
