Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

No rate or acceptance rule for an exercise machine is published. If the city treats it as a bulky item, it rides the monthly collection with no published per item charge, and if it does not, another arrangement is needed. Confirm with the Sanitation Department at 956-583-2564.

Get it ready
Break the machine down as far as it will come apart so one crew can handle it, keep it in the bulky pile rather than with the brush, and keep it clear of the container so the lid can still shut.
Mission collects brush once a month and bulky items on the same route, and the city asks for bulky items to be placed in a separate pile from the brush. Brush means tree limbs and shrubbery no longer than ten feet and no more than eight inches in diameter, plus bagged leaves and lawn trimmings, while the bulky pile carries furniture, mattresses, appliances without Freon and other items too large for the container.

No charge. No per item charge is published, and the collection rides the city sanitation service that visits Mission households twice every week. Confirm any charge with the Sanitation Department at 956-583-2564.
Arrange it
Set the bulky pile out separately from the brush on the Friday to Sunday before your collection week, with everything at the curb by 6 a.m. on the service day. The collection runs monthly.
Only material originating from the home is collected, appliances must be without Freon, electronics have no city route and are confirmed with the Sanitation Department, construction, demolition and remodeling debris, brick, concrete and dirt are named as not collected at the curb and go to the Residential Waste Drop-Off Service, and the container lid has to shut with no extra bags beside it.
Mission households usually do not need to self-haul bulky material, because the city collects furniture, mattresses, appliances without Freon and other items too large for the container once a month on the brush and bulky route, with bulky items in a pile separate from the brush. Brush itself can be dropped free at the city site on South Conway with proof of residency, and household recyclables go to the mobile recycling trailers at 15th and Perkins Street or at the sanitation department on Abelino Farias, where the bins are open to the public. Electronics and household hazardous waste are not addressed in the city material and the county publishes no household programme, so those should be confirmed with the Sanitation Department on 956-583-2564 or checked against the regional solid waste and recycling guide before anything is loaded. Which option covers a Peloton, spin bike or recumbent bike?+
Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
How do I book free weights, a weight rack or a bench?+
