A plan for your pile

Finishing the project should include clearing the debris.

Mixed renovation material is hard to describe as one item. A photo-led quote gives you a specific plan for the pile left behind.

A quote based on what is actually there.

Send a photo of the whole pile and a close-up of the material. Include its approximate size, your ZIP code and a view of the access.

Mixed or heavy project debris.

Request a quote for the actual materials and quantity. A generic debris-pile price cannot establish the scope of your project.

Already in contractor bags?

The separate contractor-bag item can cover carryable bags of debris at 50 lb or less each, with no dirt or gravel. Describe uncertain contents to our team before choosing it.

Unknown or hazardous material.

Flag unknown contents, chemicals and suspected hazardous materials in your request. A photo request is not acceptance of every material, and this service does not promise remediation or demolition.

Construction and demolition debris

Accepted with preparation

Construction and demolition debris such as carpet, padding, dismantled fences, sinks and commodes can be booked through the payload bulk service, and the landfill takes the same material by weight.

City cost & eligibility
From $33.5 for initial trip charge for the payload bulk service, plus a loading fee for each minute of loading time, while the landfill charges construction and demolition material by weight. Residential and commercial service units inside the City of Wichita Falls for the payload bulk service, and landfill loads from a primary residence at no charge or other loads at the published tonnage rates.
When & how
Book the curbside pickup with the Sanitation Office on 940-761-7977, or haul the load to the landfill on Wiley Road during its open hours.
Get it ready
Carpet, padding, dismantled fences, sinks and commodes are the published examples. Keep the pile clear of obstructions at the curb, secure the load for the drive to the landfill because city ordinance requires it, and keep oils, oil filters, hazardous material and tires out of the load because the landfill refuses them.

Twice a week trash routes split at the Kell Freeway

The City collects household trash twice a week, with Monday and Thursday for addresses north of the Kell Freeway and Tuesday and Friday for addresses south of it. Containers go out no later than 7 a.m. on the collection day, the cart is set at the curb clear of power lines and tree limbs with the wheels facing the house, and the ordinance requires limbs near the collection point to be trimmed to the published clearance so the automated vehicle is not damaged.

Bulky material is booked, not set out on the trash morning

The payload bulk service is requested from the Sanitation Office on 940-761-7977 and is charged as an initial trip charge plus a loading fee for each minute of loading time. All material has to be at the curb or at a location the Sanitation superintendent approves, at least five feet from any horizontal obstruction and 13.5 feet from any vertical obstruction. The published examples are bulky waste, home furnishing such as chairs, tables, couches and mattresses, white goods such as washers, dryers and stoves, and construction and demolition debris such as carpet, padding, dismantled fences, sinks and commodes, and white goods must be separated so a vehicle with a mechanical boom and grapple can lift them.

Landfill loads have to be secured

City ordinance requires every load taken to the landfill to be secured, and an unsecured load can draw a fine. The landfill at 10984 Wiley Road refuses oils and oil filters, hazardous materials and vehicle tires of any type, and it charges construction and demolition material and organic material by weight for loads that do not come from the household's own primary residence.
