Choose the right items

One computer setup can be several items.

A separate monitor and tower count separately. Small devices and cables have their own box option. Choose what is actually leaving so your price matches the pickup.

Monitor, desktop or laptop.

Choose Computer monitor for each separate display. Desktop computer covers one tower or one all-in-one computer. A laptop is its own item. Add only the devices going.

Printer or office copier.

A printer with a built-in scanner belongs under Printer. A floor-standing copy machine belongs under Office copier. The shape matters more than the brand.

A box of smaller electronics.

Use Box of electronics for small devices, cables and chargers together in one box. For a large or heavy box, unusual contents or separate batteries, send a photo and confirm the fit before booking.

Electronics and small appliances

Special rules apply

Electronics are not covered by any City page that could be read, and the department does publish drop-off recycling for glass, newspaper and aluminium only, so the route has to be confirmed.

City cost & eligibility
The Sanitation department page lists drop-off recycling for glass, newspaper and aluminium and does not name electronics, and no readable City page publishes an electronics drop-off or fee, so call the Sanitation Office on 940-761-7977 to confirm the route.
When & how
Confirm with the Sanitation Office on 940-761-7977 before booking any pickup or drop-off for electronic material.
Get it ready
Remove the batteries the City lists as hazardous material, keep electronic items out of the household cart until the route is confirmed, and do not place them in the drop-off recycling containers that are published for glass, newspaper and aluminium.

The handoff matters

Right item.
Right place.

Twice a week trash routes split at the Kell Freeway

The City collects household trash twice a week, with Monday and Thursday for addresses north of the Kell Freeway and Tuesday and Friday for addresses south of it. Containers go out no later than 7 a.m. on the collection day, the cart is set at the curb clear of power lines and tree limbs with the wheels facing the house, and the ordinance requires limbs near the collection point to be trimmed to the published clearance so the automated vehicle is not damaged.

Landfill loads have to be secured

City ordinance requires every load taken to the landfill to be secured, and an unsecured load can draw a fine. The landfill at 10984 Wiley Road refuses oils and oil filters, hazardous materials and vehicle tires of any type, and it charges construction and demolition material and organic material by weight for loads that do not come from the household's own primary residence.

For your Dropcurb pickup

Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self hauling in Wichita Falls means the City landfill at 10984 Wiley Road, reached by taking Seymour Highway west toward Seymour to Highway 258 at the Kamay Y, continuing west about a mile and turning north on Wiley Road for two miles. Dumping from the household's own primary residence is free of charge with a valid ID and active account information, while a load from any other property or from outside the city pays 31.60 dollars per ton for construction and demolition material and 20.30 dollars per ton for organic material such as grass clippings and tree limbs. The landfill refuses oils and oil filters, hazardous materials and vehicle tires of any type, and every load has to be secured because the city ordinance allows a fine. The Sanitation department also runs a transfer station on 940-691-7631 and drop-off recycling for glass, newspaper and aluminium, and the department office is at 200 Sunset Drive with the request line on 940-761-7977. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Electronics removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Wichita Falls.

How much does electronics pickup cost in Wichita Falls?

A computer monitor is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Choose the actual devices and quantities to see your combined price online. A separate desktop tower and monitor are separate items. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; review the total and any applicable tax before payment.

Can you pick up old electronics today in Wichita Falls?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates shown at checkout and have the prepared items outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done. The booking is for a day, not an exact arrival time.

Does computer removal include my monitor and printer?

Desktop computer covers one tower or one all-in-one computer. Add a separate monitor, printer or laptop as its own item if it is going too. For small devices, cables and chargers together, choose Box of electronics and check the description before booking.

Do you erase data from old computers?

Data erasure and certified data destruction are not included in Dropcurb removal. Back up the information you need, then follow the manufacturer’s sign-out and reset instructions before pickup. If a device cannot be erased or contains sensitive business information, arrange suitable data handling before giving it away. Completion photos confirm the pickup, not data destruction.Official guidance

Can I book one box of old cables and small electronics?

Yes. Box of electronics is an existing option for small devices, cables and chargers together in one box. A monitor, desktop computer and printer each have their own item option. Send a photo before booking for a large or heavy box, unusual contents or separate batteries so we can confirm the fit.

Where do electronics go?

The City's published drop-off recycling covers glass, newspaper and aluminium, and no readable City page names an electronics drop-off, so call the Sanitation Office on 940-761-7977 to confirm the route. Do not mix electronics into the drop-off recycling containers that are published for glass, newspaper and aluminium.Official guidance

Which items does the City name for the bulky service?

The published examples are bulky waste, home furnishing such as chairs, tables, couches and mattresses, white goods or appliances such as washers, dryers and stoves, and construction and demolition debris such as carpet, padding, dismantled fences, sinks and commodes. White goods have to be separated from the rest so a vehicle with a mechanical boom and grapple can lift them, and exercise equipment and electronics are not on the list, so those need to be confirmed with the Sanitation Office on 940-761-7977.Official guidance

What does the residential account include?

The residential schedule lists a monthly minimum for curb cart service of 18.27 dollars, alley dumpster service at 27.30 dollars a month, and carry-out service at 46.25 dollars from ten to fifty feet, 56.50 dollars from fifty to one hundred feet and 67.10 dollars beyond one hundred feet, with a weekly recycling container fee of 3.32 dollars that is not collected on holidays. Containers go out by 7 a.m. on the collection day with the wheels facing the house.Official guidance
