Construction materials set out for collection will not be taken, so a project load needs a roll-off container or a weighed trip to the transfer station. Carpet that does go out with household material has to be cut, bundled and less than four feet in length, and the county recycling center takes cardboard only when it is flattened, with plastic bags no longer accepted there.
