A plan for your pile

Finishing the project should include clearing the debris.

Mixed renovation material is hard to describe as one item. A photo-led quote gives you a specific plan for the pile left behind.

Your quote

A quote based on what is actually there.

Send a photo of the whole pile and a close-up of the material. Include its approximate size, your ZIP code and a view of the access.

Mixed or heavy project debris.

Request a quote for the actual materials and quantity. A generic debris-pile price cannot establish the scope of your project.

Already in contractor bags?

The separate contractor-bag item can cover carryable bags of debris at 50 lb or less each, with no dirt or gravel. Describe uncertain contents to our team before choosing it.

Unknown or hazardous material.

Flag unknown contents, chemicals and suspected hazardous materials in your request. A photo request is not acceptance of every material, and this service does not promise remediation or demolition.

  1. Show the material.

Show each material separately where possible. Describe wood, tile, drywall, concrete or other contents, and flag any material you cannot identify.

  2. Describe the amount.

Include approximate pile dimensions and known weights. Photograph both the whole pile and the route to it.

  3. Show the pickup access.

Include the location, ZIP code and a photo of the route from the street to the material. Mention stairs, gates, loading docks or limited access hours.

Construction and demolition debris

Special rules apply

SWS accepts construction and demolition debris at the Anchorage Regional Landfill; limited non-asbestos loads may qualify at the Central Transfer Station.

City cost & eligibility
The 2026 schedule lists a construction and demolition charge, but the public sources do not establish that one amount applies to every residential material or load.
When & how
Use the landfill for a load outside the Central Transfer Station limits. Contact SWS before moving material that may contain asbestos or needs special handling.
Get it ready
Identify the material first. Central Transfer Station loads must meet current material and size rules; asbestos-containing material follows a separate landfill policy and schedule.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Anchorage residents have municipal self-haul routes, but the correct site depends on item, quantity and load size. The Central Transfer Station handles many ordinary residential loads; the Anchorage Regional Landfill is the required route for larger tire loads, broader construction debris and other restricted material. Cover the load and confirm any item-specific fee before travel. How to dispose of named itemsDisposal facilities and special materials2026 collection, disposal and household hazardous waste rates

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from your photo request to the pickup plan in Anchorage.

Can I book a mixed debris pile online at one price?

Request a custom quote instead. Send photos of the materials, approximate pile dimensions, your ZIP code and access details. The team confirms the work and price before you commit.

What if my debris is already in contractor bags?

Each carryable contractor bag at 50 lb or less, containing no dirt or gravel, has its own catalog option. Do not use a bag count for an unbagged pile or unknown material. Text a photo if you are unsure.

Does pickup include demolition or removing installed materials?

No demolition or disconnection work is automatically included. Describe the current state and access in your quote request so the team can confirm the work it can arrange.

How much does construction debris removal cost?

This service uses a custom quote. Send photos, the approximate amount, your ZIP code and access details. Our team confirms the scope and price before booking; there is no fixed-price catalog item for this pile.

Can you collect it today?

Tell our team your preferred day when you request the quote. Timing depends on the material, amount and access, and is confirmed with your quote. Sending photos does not reserve same-day pickup.

Can renovation debris go to the Central Transfer Station?

Only some non-asbestos loads within the station's current material and size limits. SWS directs broader construction and demolition loads to the Anchorage Regional Landfill. Confirm suspect asbestos and the exact material before transport.Official guidance

What should I confirm before self-hauling an Anchorage load?

Confirm the exact facility, material acceptance, current charge and load limit. Cover and secure the load, and keep refrigerant appliances, electronics, tires, construction debris and natural wood separated under their item-specific rules.Official guidance
