Arrange it
Bring the material to the Environmental Services Complex at 4277 Wire Road, Suite 100 on a published collection day. The Fall 2026 event is Saturday, October 10, 2026, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and participants load the material in the trunk or rear of the vehicle and follow the signage.
Two days a year, spring and fall, with the 20-pound household limit. Ammunition, explosives, fire extinguishers, flares, gun powder, radioactive waste, smoke detectors, DEA-regulated substances, unknown gas cylinders, unknown materials and unstable wastes are refused.
Auburn's own department runs the collection, so the first call is Environmental Services at 334-501-3080 whatever the item is. Bulky trash goes to the curb in one compact pile on the garbage day, while the green cart takes household garbage only. Televisions and monitors go out with that curb trash, ordinary computers and electronics are recycled by appointment, and the 24-hour drop-off center at 356 N Donahue Dr takes everything the curbside recycling cart takes, plus glass separated by color, transistor batteries up to size D, cell phones, cooking grease or oil, and magazines and telephone books. Construction material, dirt, rocks, roofing and hazardous waste never belong in the curb pile; hazardous material goes to one of the two collection days a year at 4277 Wire Road instead. No automobile or marine batteries, no plastic bags and no plastic straws. The center is a self-service drop-off rather than a curbside route, and glass belongs here rather than in the curbside cart.
