Count each trash bag or filled household box. Books and media go by the box. Clothes, bedding and shoes go by the filled bag. Toys packed together have a Box of toys choice. Ask us about unusually heavy or oversized bags and boxes first.
Empty cardboard is a different choice: choose single empty boxes or tied bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Compacted bales have their own weight-based choices and require loading-dock access. A Storage bin choice covers the empty bin itself; ask us to confirm the contents if they are going too.

Daphne takes trash and yard debris from every household on its scheduled service day, in front of the resident's own property, with no call and no special pickups. Each household is allowed 15 cubic feet a week, and the city charges on a published overage schedule once a pile goes above that. Bagged leaves, pine straw, grass clippings and pine cones go out with the trash, and limbs stay under five feet long and eight inches thick.
The handoff matters
Garbage goes in a city issued 64 or 96 gallon semi automated cart, bagged first with the lid closed, placed at the curb within six feet of the street no later than midnight before your collection day and no more than 24 hours early, and brought back in within 12 hours after collection. Carts stay at least four feet apart and out of the street, ditches, storm drains and gutters. Trash and yard debris goes in front of your own property rather than a vacant lot or a right of way, and when both collections fall on the same day the materials go in separate areas of the curbside.
