Schedule the bulky pickup before anything goes out
Bulky material is collected on a designated day after you call 311 at 334-625-4636 or the Sanitation Department at 334-625-2751, and the city publishes both a per-truck-load range and a per-unit price for named items such as sofas, appliances and hot water heaters. Yard waste stays separate: grass, leaves, pine straw and limbs cut under four feet long and eight inches in diameter go behind the curb on the weekly yard trash day.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

From $25 per truck load on a scheduled bulky pickup, with the city publishing a range from 25 dollars to 150 dollars depending on the load. Residents with a current Sanitation Department account. Montgomery residents can self-haul to the Saturday trash drop-off points on the first and third Saturday of the month from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with the operating policy limiting bricks, cement, dirt and roofing to one cubic yard and directing larger loads, bulk tires and heavy vehicles to the North Montgomery Landfill. Refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners go to the Cramton Bowl north parking lot instead. Anything that does not fit those rules should be scheduled with the Sanitation Department, and building material is the owner's responsibility.
