Accepted with preparation
The contract names stoves, washing machines, water tanks and refrigerators as bulky items, and a refrigerator needs evidence that the Freon was removed.
City cost & eligibility
No per-item appliance price is published and the bulky service sits inside the contracted collection. Confirm the unit and the Freon paperwork with Waste Connections at 501-232-1410.
When & how
Place the appliance at the kerb on the weekly service day after confirming that the unit qualifies for the two-yard bulky allowance.
Get it ready
Have evidence of Freon removal ready for a refrigerator or similar unit, keep the appliance out of the garbage cart, and keep it four feet clear of the carts and other obstructions.
All services must be at the kerbside no later than 7 a.m. on the service day. Residential waste has to be bagged and inside the 96-gallon cart with the lid closed, and bulky material goes out beside the carts rather than in them.
Keep the carts separated and clear of obstructions
Place containers separated on the kerb, at least four feet from each other and from obstructions such as vehicles, mailboxes, overhead utility wires, utility meters, lawn ornaments and personal property. The placement diagram shows five feet from cars, trees, mailboxes and driveways and three feet from other bins and objects.

Arrange it
Put the material at the kerb by 7 a.m. on the weekly service day, separated from the carts and clear of obstructions.
Two yards per home or unit, weekly, and the hauler is not required to take construction debris, carpet, large dead animals, hazardous waste or stable matter beyond the container allowances. An unnamed item such as a mattress, a screen or an exercise machine needs confirmation first.
Cabot has no city-run drop-off yard in the documents it publishes. The residential service is a city contract with Waste Connections: one black-lidded garbage cart and one yellow-lidded recycling cart per address, everything at the kerb by 7 a.m., and a weekly bulky allowance of two yards that names stoves, refrigerators with evidence of Freon removal, water tanks, washing machines and furniture.
