The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Yard waste, building material and construction debris, lumber and shingles, household chemicals, medical waste, used oil, paint, electronics, appliances, fire residue, masonry and automotive material all stay out of the garbage bin. The city flyer says items on that list can be scheduled for collection by calling 501-371-8340 or dropped at a recycling location, electronics and household chemicals have their own drop-off window at 13th and Sycamore, and freon appliances are handled by a local recycler instead.

The first failure to separate green waste from bulky items brings a written notification, and a second failure brings a 50 dollar fee assessed on the utility bill. The sanitation page lists a household chemical drop-off at 418 West 13th Street on Tuesdays from 7 to 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. and the third Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon, while the recycling page and the city's electronics sheet both print the same drop-off at 13th and Sycamore at the Public Works Complex. The sanitation page says no paint, car batteries or fluorescent bulbs longer than 4 feet are accepted there, so confirm the address and the item before loading.
