Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

When & how
Call Public Works at 479-750-8135 during a pickup week and describe the machine, then put it out only if the department confirms it inside the bulky waste allowance.
Get it ready
Describe the machine and its size when you call, fold or tie down the deck and handles where you can, and take off any console or screen so it can go to the electronics drop-off instead of the bulky pile. Keep the machine within 6 feet of the curb and clear of fences, meters and low power lines.
The bulky waste program starts with a phone call to Public Works at 479-750-8135 during the week before the pickup. The caller is told to wait until the upcoming weekend to put the items at the curb, and the bulky waste crew then comes between Monday and Friday of the following week, because the department cannot schedule a specific day.
Keep the pile close to the curb and clear of obstructions
The program asks residents to place items no further than 6 feet from the curb and away from fences, mailboxes and electric, water or gas meters, and not under trees or low power lines. No vehicle should be parked in front of the pile, every item has to sit at the address that requested the pickup, and the whole set-out stays within the household's allowance.

Schedule the city bulky waste pickup
A household in a building of five units or fewer with furniture, mattresses, white goods, tires, tree cuttings or a small construction load.
Cost & conditions
No charge. Two bulky waste pickups per calendar year are free for a household that can prove residency with a water bill, each up to 8 cubic yards, or a single combined pickup of up to 16 cubic yards. The program caps mattresses or box springs at 4 and couches at 2 per calendar year.
Arrange it
Call Public Works at 479-750-8135 the week before, set the items at the curb over the weekend, and the crew collects them between Monday and Friday of the following week.
Apartment complexes with more than five units are not eligible, garbage, bagged material, recyclables, free liquids, televisions, computers, bagged yard waste, Styrofoam and fluorescent bulbs stop the whole pickup from being collected, and a cooling appliance needs documented professional refrigerant removal.

Use the paid bulky waste service for a large load
A household with more than 16 cubic yards of bulky waste that has used up the free allowance or is clearing a full house.
Cost & conditions
From $150 for minimum charge for eight cubic yards of the paid bulky waste service, priced per cubic yard above the free household allowance. Households with more than 16 cubic yards of bulky waste. A signed approval form from the property owner, occupant, tenant or lessee is required for removal of the excess material.
Arrange it
Call Public Works at 479-750-8135 to inquire about the paid service, submit the signed approval form, and put the load at the curb for the scheduled collection week.
The paid service is priced by volume with a minimum charge, it is only for households past the 16 cubic yard free allowance, and the same refused items that stop a free pickup also stop this one.

Which option covers a Peloton, spin bike or recumbent bike?+
Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
How do I book free weights, a weight rack or a bench?+
