Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

Exercise equipment is not named on the Community Cleanup list, the hauler's bulky rules or the county item list, so the machine has to be confirmed before it is set out.
City cost & eligibility
No published entry covers an exercise machine. The city publishes no cleanup charge, the county transfer stations price some loads on arrival and the hauler quotes its own fees, so confirm the item and the cost with Public Works or the hauler first.
When & how
Call San Luis Public Works at 928-341-8577 or the hauler's customer service before the machine goes out, and use the cleanup campaign, a county transfer station or a hauler pickup as directed.
Get it ready
Describe the machine, its weight and whether it has a powered console, drain it if it holds fluid, and keep it clear of the sidewalk, street and water meter wherever it is placed.
Carts go to the collection point the evening before the collection day, side by side about one foot apart and at least three feet from any obstruction such as a fire hydrant, tree or mailbox, with the handles and wheels facing away from the street, and they come back in within twelve hours after service. Anything not inside a cart is not collected, so overflow and bulky material has to be arranged with customer service.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.
Self-haul in San Luis means the Yuma County South transfer station at 5563 W. County 19th Street in Somerton, open Thursday through Saturday 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., where one load per customer per day is allowed in one trailer or one truck bed no more than two feet above the cab and commercial, industrial or oversize loads are refused. Dropcurb pickup starts outside. Arrange indoor carrying, stairs and any dismantling needed to get your equipment out before pickup. Check the moving instructions for your exact model and arrange suitable help. We load and haul away the equipment from an accessible outdoor spot.
Which option covers a Peloton, spin bike or recumbent bike?+
Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
How do I book free weights, a weight rack or a bench?+
Enter the combined weight in pounds for your dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Booking rounds that total up to the next 10 lb unit: 25 lb uses three units. Stands, racks and benches are separate items and do not include the loose weights. Add each one that is going.
Will the cleanup take a treadmill?+

What does a bulky item pickup cost in San Luis?+
The city publishes no price for a bulky pickup. Where does paint, oil and batteries go in San Luis?+
Household hazardous waste may not go through the residential collection programme, and the city's hauler directs residents to a certified collection centre.
