Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

City cost & eligibility
The City publishes no item list for special pickups and names no exercise equipment, so acceptance is not settled in advance. Call Public Works at (520) 458-5775 with the machine type and size to confirm that it can go out on a special pickup, and how many stickers it needs.

Get it ready
Take the machine down as far as it will come apart, keep loose weights and parts with it, and keep the whole load inside the published size limit before you buy a sticker.
A special pickup load stays inside 4 by 6 by 3 feet or a 2.5 cubic yard limit and sits within 3 feet of the sidewalk, never on the sidewalk or in the roadway. Each large item needs its own sticker, placed where a driver can see it from the street.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

$50 for the published Special Pickup sticker price for one pickup. Bulky items or bagged and bundled material inside the published load limit, with one sticker required for each large item.
Arrange it
Buy the sticker at City Hall, the Pedro Castro Maintenance Center, the Oscar Yrun Community Center or The Cove, then call Public Works at (520) 458-5775 to be added to the next available pickup list.
The load cannot exceed 4 by 6 by 3 feet or 2.5 cubic yards, it goes within 3 feet of the sidewalk rather than in the street, and a refrigerator or freezer needs certified Freon removal first.

Will you dismantle my treadmill or carry it out of the basement?+
Dropcurb pickup starts outside. Arrange indoor carrying, stairs and any dismantling needed to get your equipment out before pickup. Check the moving instructions for your exact model and arrange suitable help. We load and haul away the equipment from an accessible outdoor spot.
Which option covers a Peloton, spin bike or recumbent bike?+
Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
How do I book free weights, a weight rack or a bench?+

The City's Public Works Department collects residential trash twice a week, on either Monday and Thursday or Tuesday and Friday, for addresses inside the city limits and at Fort Huachuca. Does Sierra Vista collect recycling at the curb?+
No. The City ended curbside recycling in 2019 when global demand for recyclable materials fell, and it points residents to drop-off locations around the city instead.
