Mattresses are named twice on the Neighborhood Cleanup page, once in the list of ordinary household bulk items and again on the accepted items list, so they travel with the annual curbside cleanup.
City cost & eligibility
No charge. Only for City of Yuma residents paying the Environmental Fee, collected during the one annual cleanup visit for the address area.
When & how
Set the mattress out during the Neighborhood Cleanup dates for the address area. The city collects Monday through Thursday during the program window and publishes each area on its cleanup map.
Get it ready
Keep the mattress out of the trash container and out of the alley, put it at the curb clear of the sidewalk, and keep it with the miscellaneous items rather than the appliance or tire piles.
Put the cleanup pile at the curb, not in the alley
Everything for the Neighborhood Cleanup goes at the curb. Do not block the sidewalk or set items near the trash containers, and do not use the alley unless the home faces Avenue A. Keep anything you want to keep away from the curb, because the pile is collected as it sits.
The city sends different crews for different materials, so appliances, tires, tree branches and limbs, and miscellaneous items each go in their own pile. Loose items must be bagged and light enough for two people to handle, staying under 50 pounds, and tree limbs must be under four feet, tied in bundles that also stay under 50 pounds. Up to five tires without rims are allowed per residence, and rims are refused.

A Yuma household paying the Environmental Fee with furniture, a mattress, carpet, an appliance, electronics, bagged lawn clippings or up to five rimless tires that will not fit the containers.

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates shown at checkout. Have the mattress outside and accessible according to your confirmation. Your booking is for a day rather than an exact arrival time, and we text you when your hauler is on the way.
Is my box spring or bed frame included in mattress removal?+
The mattress price covers the mattress only. Add your box spring, bed frame or adjustable base separately if those are going too. Choose the size and type that match each item. The combined price appears before booking.
Will you carry my mattress downstairs or out of my apartment?+
Dropcurb starts outside. You arrange to move the mattress out of your apartment and down interior stairs before pickup. We load it and take it away from an accessible outdoor spot. Check your building’s access rules before arranging the move outside.
Can you pick up my old mattress when my new one arrives?+
You can choose an offered pickup day around your replacement delivery. First check whether the retailer already includes old-mattress removal, and arrange who will bring it outside if needed. Dropcurb books a pickup day, not the retailer’s delivery window. Contact us before booking if access is limited to a short time.

Who collects trash and bulky items in Yuma?+
