Do not treat a mattress and bed frame as the same item
IKEA’s mattress and box spring removal options do not establish a removal option for the bed frame. Confirm each item separately before arranging disposal.

If you want to try IKEA buyback
Check your exact model in IKEA’s current buyback estimator and confirm eligibility with the store before moving it. The published rules differ for some children’s frames. Only an eligible, functional IKEA item qualifies for inspection; approved items must be brought fully assembled and payment is store credit.

When Dropcurb fits
If the frame does not qualify for an IKEA program, Dropcurb can collect an accepted bed frame once it is ready outside and accessible. Select the matching frame item separately from any mattress. Arrange disassembly and indoor carrying before pickup.

Frequently asked questions
Does IKEA mattress removal include the bed frame?
No general bed-frame pickup is listed with IKEA US’s mattress removal program. The mattress and frame are separate items, so confirm a specific frame through IKEA’s current buyback estimator and store before assuming IKEA will take it.
