Electronic waste is expressly not a bulky item, so the azusa route is the city's own drop off. Weekday drop off is discontinued until further notice, and the current program is E-Cycle Saturday on the third Saturday of each month except holidays, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Public Works yard on North Angeleno Avenue. Televisions, computers and accessories, circuit boards, microwaves, phones, stereos and DVD players are all on the accepted list.

Take the devices to the Public Works yard at 809 N. Angeleno Avenue on the third Saturday of the month between 8 a.m. and noon, except when the date falls on a holiday.
Get it ready
Bag household batteries and old cell phones separately in a container marked for batteries and cell phones rather than mixing them with the electronics, leave a damaged battery out because it is not accepted, and keep bulky waste, car parts and hazardous waste such as oil, paint, car batteries, sharps and medications out of the load.
Barrels go out the night before the service day or by 6 a.m. on the day itself. Athens observes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, and a holiday creates a one-day delay in collection, while a holiday that falls on a Saturday or Sunday does not delay service. Homes of four units or fewer use three carts, black for trash, blue for recycling and green for organics, and food waste in the green cart has to be in clear or transparent bags.
Construction debris, electronic waste, universal waste and car bodies are not bulky items, and neither is any piece over 60 pounds or outside the width and length limits. Electronics go to the city's monthly E-Cycle Saturday drop off instead, a renovation needs a temporary bin or roll-off container from Athens, and hazardous items such as paint, oil, batteries, sharps, medications and tires go to a Los Angeles County roundup. Bags of trash that do not fit the barrel are not bulky items either.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

Data erasure and certified data destruction are not included in Dropcurb removal. Back up the information you need, then follow the manufacturer’s sign-out and reset instructions before pickup. If a device cannot be erased or contains sensitive business information, arrange suitable data handling before giving it away.
