Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and demolition material

Special rules apply

Building materials are refused at the city's bulky item drop-off events, so a project load has its own rules. Ordinance No. 395 puts at least 65 percent of project waste back into reuse or recycling, qualifying projects file a Waste and Recycling Reduction Plan at submittal, and WM Builder's Direct supplies roll-off containers for residential and commercial work.

City cost & eligibility
The city publishes no container rate for a project load, and its franchise hauler quotes the roll-off, so ask WM Builder's Direct at 866-445-8298 or socalbdr@wm.com for the price. A resident who self-hauls instead pays the San Bernardino County gate fee by weight.
When & how
Order a roll-off through WM Builder's Direct at 866-445-8298 or socalbdr@wm.com, or self-haul to a San Bernardino County disposal site such as the Mid-Valley Landfill on Alder Avenue in Rialto, which takes self-hauled material Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Get it ready
Separate lumber, drywall, metals, masonry, carpet, plastic, pipes, cardboard and land development green waste, file the Waste and Recycling Reduction Plan with the project submittal when the project meets one of the city's thresholds, and keep fluorescent tubes and mercury-containing items such as thermostats on the hazardous waste route rather than in the debris box.

Four categories are turned away at the cleanup drop-off

The Community Cleanup drop-off turns away auto parts including used oil, oil filters and tires, building materials, hazardous waste including paint, cleaning supplies and batteries, and household chemicals. Those materials have separate routes: the chemicals and batteries go to the household hazardous waste site at 5050 Schaefer Avenue, and building material belongs to a project plan rather than a residential drop-off.

Know when a project needs the reduction plan

Chino Hills requires a Waste and Recycling Reduction Plan at submittal for demolition of a building or structure of 500 square feet or more, new construction or renovation of a commercial, industrial or institutional building of 1,000 square feet or more, building alterations that reach the city's published permit valuation threshold, any new residential dwelling including ADUs, multi-family work with four or more units under construction at once, and city capital projects. Qualifying work has to reuse or recycle at least 65 percent of its project waste.

With a new purchase

Order a roll-off container for a project

A household or contractor with a construction, demolition or renovation load that the bulky route refuses.

Cost & conditions
The city publishes no container rate and its franchise hauler quotes the roll-off, so ask WM Builder's Direct at 866-445-8298 or socalbdr@wm.com for the price.
Arrange it
Schedule the roll-off delivery through WM Builder's Direct at 866-445-8298 or socalbdr@wm.com, and sort the load for the diversion the city requires on permitted projects.

Universal waste such as fluorescent tubes and mercury-containing items like thermostats cannot go in the container and has to reach a certified hazardous waste facility instead.

Self-haul to a San Bernardino County disposal site

A household with a truck or trailer load of household waste or construction material that it would rather drive in than pay a hauler to collect.

Cost & conditions
From $13.71 for for up to 300 pounds of ordinary residential waste on the San Bernardino County disposal schedule effective July 1, 2023, with heavier loads prorated by the ton, a per-tire fee up to nine rollable tires off the rim, and separate per-ton hard-to-handle and special-handling rates that carry a minimum load charge. San Bernardino County disposal sites, paid by cash, Visa or MasterCard, with cash rounded to the nearest whole dollar and an uncovered or unsecured load charged double.
Arrange it
Drive the load to a county site, such as the Mid-Valley Landfill at 2390 Alder Avenue in Rialto, which the county opens Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Paint and other hazardous waste, liquid waste, sealed containers of any type, hot ashes, medical waste including sharps, items containing mercury or lead, waste from outside San Bernardino County and items longer than ten feet are refused, and every county site closes on the published holidays.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Chino Hills residents have a nearby drop-off for the material the curbside route will not take. The City of Chino Public Works Service Center at 5050 Schaefer Avenue in Chino accepts household hazardous waste, universal waste, electronic waste and tires free on the second and fourth Saturday of the month from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a 15 gallon or 125 pound visit limit in containers no larger than five gallons, no sharps and no business waste, and the site closes on the fourth Saturday of December. Other county collection centers in Ontario at 1430 South Cucamonga Avenue and at the S.B. International Airport site on East W Street take the same material on their own schedules, and the county asks residents to verify hours at 909-382-5401. Self-haulers can also drive household waste and construction material to a county disposal site such as the Mid-Valley Landfill at 2390 Alder Avenue in Rialto, which charges by weight at the gate, takes refrigerators only with no Freon left in and treated wood waste only there and in Victorville, and refuses hazardous waste, mercury and lead items, medical waste and anything longer than ten feet. Building materials still need a project answer: WM Builder's Direct supplies roll-off containers at 866-445-8298 or socalbdr@wm.com, and permitted work has to divert at least 65 percent of its debris. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Chino Hills.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Chino Hills?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Chino Hills?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Who hauls construction and demolition debris in Chino Hills?

The city's franchise hauler. WM Builder's Direct provides roll-off containers and debris collection for residential and commercial projects and can be reached at 866-445-8298 or socalbdr@wm.com. Building materials are not accepted at the city's bulky item drop-off events, and a project that meets one of the city's thresholds has to reuse or recycle at least 65 percent of its waste with a Waste and Recycling Reduction Plan filed at submittal.Official guidance
