Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Schedule special collections two days early

The bulky item, electronic waste and universal waste programme and the used oil programme have to be scheduled at least 48 hours before the service day, and a late request is collected on the next service day. Each household may schedule up to three free special collections a year with up to six bulk items, five electronic items and 15 universal waste items in each, and couches, wrapped and taped mattresses and box springs, refrigerators, washers, dryers and household electronics are the accepted items.

Hazardous waste never goes in a cart

Throwing hazardous waste into the trash or recycling containers can cause fires and harm the environment. Riverside County's Department of Waste Resources runs bi-annual household hazardous waste events in the spring and fall for county residents, and permanent facilities are within driving distance, including Agua Mansa in Jurupa Valley on non-holiday Saturdays and the Lake Elsinore maintenance facility on the first Saturday of the month except January and December. Antifreeze, batteries, oil and latex paint can also go to an ABOP site.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Corona runs the carts through Waste Management, and everything unusual goes through one of three doors. Large pieces use the special collection programme, up to three times a year for free with six bulk items, five electronic items and 15 universal waste items in a pickup, scheduled at least 48 hours ahead at home.wm.com/corona or with (800) 423-9986, and mattresses have to be wrapped and taped first. Batteries and old cell phones ride on top of the recycling cart in a clear bag with no scheduling, and used motor oil and its filter are collected on the service day in marked and sealed containers. Paint, cleaners, chemicals, oil, sharps and fluorescent tubes never go in a cart: they go to the county's bi-annual collection events or to a permanent county facility such as Agua Mansa in Jurupa Valley. Construction debris is refused by the city programme, so a renovation load needs a private container or a county facility. How much does TV removal cost in Corona?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.
