Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and demolition debris

Special rules apply

Dublin requires construction and demolition projects to recycle 65 per cent for remodels and tenant improvements and 75 per cent for new construction, with all asphalt and concrete recycled.

City cost & eligibility
The city publishes no construction container or tipping rate, and AVI quotes its own dumpster and C&D box charges. Confirm the container, the diversion paperwork and the current charge with Amador Valley Industries and the city's Building and Safety Division.
When & how
File the waste management plan through the city's process before work starts, haul through AVI or self-haul under the Building and Safety Division, and submit the PCBs screening assessment with a demolition permit application.
Get it ready
Separate asphalt and concrete, which must be recycled in full, from the rest of the debris that carries the 65 or 75 per cent requirement, and keep the load covered where the receiving facility requires it. Dirt, concrete and hazardous materials are refused on the household large item service, so construction material must never go into that pile.

Chemicals, batteries and paint leave through the county

Hazardous waste never goes in a cart. Alameda County residents can drop hazardous waste at any of the four county hazardous waste facilities for free with no appointment, and batteries, paint, electronics, chemicals and motor oil are accepted. Amador Valley Industries also runs a one-day household hazardous waste drop-off event for Dublin residents once a year, leftover paint can go to the Sherwin-Williams or Kelly-Moore stores in Dublin where the can carries a valid PaintCare label, and StopWaste's guide and hotline at 877-786-7927 answer the rest.

Haul the project through the franchise hauler

Dublin construction and demolition projects that need a container and have diversion requirements to meet.

Cost & conditions

With a new purchase

Return leftover paint to a PaintCare store

Cost & conditions

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Dublin runs everything through Amador Valley Industries, the city's exclusive hauler, which also trades as AVI after the Waste Connections acquisition. Compost, recycling and landfill material are collected weekly in the three carts, but anything large goes on a large item collection: single family households get three free ones each contract year from July 1 to June 30, each limited to seven cubic yards, and mattresses, furniture, white goods, televisions, computers and up to four car tires without rims all ride that service. Call (925) 479-9545 at least three days ahead and keep the load within 24 hours of the pickup. Hazardous waste never goes in a cart and instead goes to one of the four Alameda County facilities, free with no appointment, or to the annual AVI drop-off event. Renovation material has its own regime: 65 per cent diversion for remodels and tenant improvements, 75 per cent for new construction, all asphalt and concrete recycled, and the franchise hauler is the only allowed carrier. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Dublin.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Dublin?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Dublin?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

What does a Dublin renovation have to recycle?

At least 65 per cent of the waste for remodels or tenant improvements and 75 per cent for new construction generated on the job site, with asphalt and concrete debris excluded from that calculation because 100 per cent of it must be recycled. Amador Valley Industries is the city's exclusive hauler for construction and demolition material, using another company is a violation of city ordinance, and self-hauling runs through the Building and Safety Division at 925-833-6620. A demolition also needs a PCBs screening assessment form.Official guidance

Where do Dublin paint, batteries and chemicals go?

Hazardous waste does not belong in any cart. Alameda County residents can drop batteries, paint, electronics, chemicals and motor oil at any of the four county hazardous waste facilities for free with no appointment, and Amador Valley Industries runs a one-day drop-off event for Dublin residents each year. Leftover paint can also go to the Sherwin-Williams or Kelly-Moore stores in Dublin when the can carries a valid PaintCare label.Official guidance
