Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

Exercise equipment is not named in the city's bulky examples, in the cleanup day list or in the barrel descriptions, so a treadmill or weight machine has to be confirmed before it goes out.

No published entry covers an exercise machine, and the bulky examples name furniture, appliances, stoves, water heaters and large tree trunks instead. Confirm acceptance with Republic Services at (714) 238-2444 before booking a pickup.
When & how
Call before the pickup, and if the machine is accepted add it to the 10 item allowance on a bulky item appointment.
Get it ready
Describe the machine and its size when calling, take the console or any battery pack off so the electronics are handled separately, and keep the frame out of the barrels while the route is confirmed.
A bulky pickup is an appointment with a listed load
Bulky items do not go out with the barrels. The service is free for eligible households through Republic Services, allows up to three pickups a calendar year with up to 10 items per pickup, and is scheduled by phone, so the resident lists the items when booking and sets them out for the arranged day. Refrigerators and air conditioners are the exception to the free rule, because the refrigerant has to be recovered for a fee.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

Book the free bulky item pickup
An eligible Garden Grove household with furniture, appliances, a stove, a water heater or another large household item that will not fit in a barrel.
Cost & conditions
No charge. Free for eligible residential accounts, with up to three bulky pickups a calendar year and up to 10 items per pickup. The city page limits the free service to single family homes and the hauler's Garden Grove flyer extends it to single and multi-family residents, so confirm eligibility for the address when booking. Refrigerators and air conditioners carry a refrigerant recovery fee.

Which option covers a Peloton, spin bike or recumbent bike?+
Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
How do I book free weights, a weight rack or a bench?+
Enter the combined weight in pounds for your dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Booking rounds that total up to the next 10 lb unit: 25 lb uses three units. Stands, racks and benches are separate items and do not include the loose weights. Add each one that is going.
