Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

City cost & eligibility
No published rate covers an exercise machine. If it is accepted it falls inside the free bulky item allowance, so confirm the item and any charge with Republic Services at (714) 847-3581 before the collection.
When & how
Call Republic Services at (714) 847-3581 with the machine type and weight before scheduling the bulky item pickup, and put it out only for the confirmed collection day.
Get it ready
Break the machine down so a crew can handle it, keep the pieces together and inside the 10 item limit, and remove any console or battery pack so the electronics can go to a county collection centre instead.
Four free bulky collections a year, ten items each
The 10/4 programme gives a Fountain Valley household four free bulky item collections a year with up to ten large items per collection, scheduled with Republic Services at (714) 847-3581. Bagged trash beyond the cart capacity may be included at no more than 40 pounds per sealed bag, and bundles of palm fronds or branches may be no longer than 4 feet and no heavier than 40 pounds each.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.
Fountain Valley households with furniture, a mattress or box spring, bed frames, an appliance, moving boxes, pool equipment or bundled branches that will not fit the carts.
Cost & conditions
No charge. Fountain Valley residential customers on the Republic Services franchise, four free bulky item collections a year with up to 10 large items per collection. Commercial and multi-family customers can have bulk items collected for a per item fee.
Arrange it
Call Republic Services at (714) 847-3581 to schedule the collection and put the items out for the collection day, which can run any time between 7 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Ten large items per collection and four free collections a year. Remodeling items such as intact vanities, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, windows and doors are refused, cast iron tubs are refused, and universal waste, hazardous waste and construction and demolition waste are not accepted at all.

Dropcurb pickup starts outside. Arrange indoor carrying, stairs and any dismantling needed to get your equipment out before pickup. Check the moving instructions for your exact model and arrange suitable help. We load and haul away the equipment from an accessible outdoor spot.
Which option covers a Peloton, spin bike or recumbent bike?+
Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
How do I book free weights, a weight rack or a bench?+
Enter the combined weight in pounds for your dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Booking rounds that total up to the next 10 lb unit: 25 lb uses three units. Stands, racks and benches are separate items and do not include the loose weights. Add each one that is going.
Will Fountain Valley collect an exercise machine?+
