A few pieces, one pickup

Your room has changed. The old furniture can go.

The desk you no longer use. The dresser that doesn’t fit the new layout. The chairs left over after a move. Choose the pieces you’re done with and give them a pickup day, without arranging a quote visit.

Choose each piece

A table and four chairs are five items.

You don’t need to guess how much space your furniture fills in a truck. Match each piece to the catalog, then add its quantity. Your total updates as you go.

Tables and chairs

Choose the table, then add each chair separately. Coffee tables, side tables and dining tables have their own options. A large or substantially heavy table has a different choice.

Dressers and mirrors

Match the dresser’s overall size. Add a separate dresser mirror as its own item if it is leaving too. Empty drawers and keep the belongings you want before moving the dresser outside.

Desks and bookshelves

Choose by construction, not height alone. A basic desk is different from a heavy desk with a substantial body. A tall, lightweight bookcase can still be a standard bookshelf. Empty it first.

Couches, sofas and household furniture

Accepted with preparation

Lodi has no standing bulky item pickup, so a couch leaves on one of the two annual programs: the free curbside cleanup, which takes the equivalent of three 64 gallon carts of additional refuse, or the dollar dump day, where a voucher covers up to two cubic yards for a dollar.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. The curbside cleanup is free to Lodi residents and takes additional refuse up to the equivalent of three 64 gallon carts. The separate dollar dump day is priced per load instead and needs the voucher the city mails to single family customers before the event.
When & how
The curbside cleanup runs once a year, typically in April, and the dollar dump day runs once a year, typically between March 15 and April 15. Outside those two windows there is no published collection for a couch.
Get it ready
Bag, bundle or box the material so each container stays under 50 pounds, and keep dirt, concrete, liquids, toxic or hazardous material, cathode ray tubes and large heavy metals such as auto bodies and engines out of the pile because both programs refuse them.

The annual cleanup takes three carts worth, bagged and under 50 pounds

The free curbside cleanup usually runs in April. Residents may set out additional refuse up to the equivalent of three 64 gallon carts, and everything has to be bagged, bundled or boxed with each container weighing under 50 pounds. Dirt, concrete, liquids, toxic or hazardous material, cathode ray tubes and large heavy metals such as auto bodies and engines are refused and should not go into the pile.

The dollar dump day needs the mailed voucher and takes two cubic yards

The annual dollar dump day usually falls between March 15 and April 15. Single family customers inside the city limits may bring up to two cubic yards of refuse in a single load to the Waste Management transfer station at 1333 E Turner Road for a dollar, and the voucher has to be mailed to the residence beforehand. Commercial waste, dirt, concrete, tires, liquids, toxic or hazardous material, cathode ray tubes, large heavy metals and refrigerators or air conditioners that still have CFCs are refused.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Lodi's published self haul options are event based. Waste Management's transfer station on East Turner Road hosts the annual e-waste collection events and the annual household hazardous waste event, and it is also where the dollar dump day load goes, up to two cubic yards for a dollar with the voucher the city mails out before the March 15 to April 15 window. For household chemicals the standing option is the county consolidation facility at 7850 South R.A. Bridgeford Street in Stockton, open Thursday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a 15 gallon or 125 pound trip limit. Everything else the city refuses at its programs, including dirt, concrete, tires on the dump day, cathode ray tubes and cooling appliances that still hold CFCs, has to be arranged with a private hauler or a site that accepts it, and the city's solid waste desk at (209) 333-6706 answers those questions. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Furniture removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Lodi.

How much does furniture removal cost in Lodi?

Choose the type and size of each piece to see its price. For example, a medium dresser is $79 as the first item or $29 as an additional item. Your total starts with the highest first-item price in your selection, then uses the additional-item price for every other item. Review the complete total and any applicable tax before payment.

Can I get same-day furniture pickup in Lodi?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup and choose from the dates shown at checkout. Arrange to have the furniture outside according to your confirmation. You receive a text when your hauler is on the way and photos after collection.

Will you remove furniture from inside my apartment?

Dropcurb starts outside. You arrange indoor carrying, including any interior stairs or elevator trip. We load and take away the furniture from an accessible outdoor location. Check your building’s rules and plan the route out before booking.

Can you take several different furniture items in one pickup?

Yes. Add each piece and its quantity to one booking. A dining table and four chairs are five items; a separate mirror is not included with a dresser. You can mix eligible items from different rooms and review their combined total before paying.

Do I need to take furniture apart before pickup?

You arrange any disassembly needed to move the furniture out of your home and into an accessible outdoor pickup spot. Dropcurb does not provide indoor disassembly or carrying. If you are unsure which catalog choice matches a dismantled or unusual piece, send a photo and ask before booking.
