How is the Madera trash rate set?+
The City Council adopts the solid waste and street sweeping rates. Resolution 22-103 set a five year schedule effective August 1, 2022, and its attachment lists the three standard residential containers at $49.31 a month as a maximum in the fiscal year 2026/27 column, noting that the later columns are maximum rates that may be adjusted by future Council action.
