Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

No published charge covers an exercise machine and the city does not name the category, so confirm acceptance with NASA Services at 888-888-0388 before the machine goes to the curb. If it is accepted it uses one of the ten free bulky item collections included between July 1 and June 30.

Call 888-888-0388 with the type of machine before booking. If it is accepted, have it curbside no later than 6 a.m. on the collection day.
Get it ready
Take the machine down as far as it will come apart and keep the loose weights with it, and keep the piece light enough for a two-man crew. The refused list names equipment, so ask before assuming a weighted machine qualifies.
The free allowance is ten on-call bulky collections between July 1 and June 30, with up to four items in each collection, and a fee applies once the allowance is used. Heavy items do not qualify at all, because everything on the pile has to be movable by a two-man crew.

Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
How do I book free weights, a weight rack or a bench?+
