A mattress is named neither in the bulky item examples, which are an appliance, large furniture or an electronic, nor in the on-call pickup list, so the item has to be confirmed with the hauler before it goes out. The 200 pound limit applies to whatever the bulky allowance collects.

The bulky allowance takes a single item, under 200 pounds, and it may be an appliance, a large piece of furniture or an electronic. The on-call allowance instead takes up to twelve 32 gallon bags of household garbage or yard waste at 50 pounds or less a bag, with branches bundled no larger than 18 inches by 3 feet, twice a calendar year and at least a week apart. Neither route takes construction material, and the bag route also refuses furniture, carpets, appliances and e-waste.
