Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and demolition debris

Not on the regular city route

Construction and demolition material is not part of the curbside program, so a project load moves through a three yard to thirty yard rental container and the City's diversion rules apply to the project.

City cost & eligibility
The hauler's materials sheet marks construction debris as not applicable to residential and commercial accounts and lists construction and demolition debris among the unacceptable bulk items, so nothing from a project goes in the carts or on a bulky pile. The City lists three yard to thirty yard rental containers for residential cleanups and removal of construction debris, and the rate schedule prices a temporary three yard container with the dump included, which sits in its own option.
When & how
Order the container with Republic Services before the work starts, and file the waste management plan with the City when the project type requires one.
Get it ready
Keep boards, drywall, tile, roofing material, concrete, dirt, rock and demolition debris out of the carts and off the bulky pile, keep paint, solvents and treated wood separate for a household hazardous waste center, and keep clean inert material apart from mixed debris.

Republic Services, franchised by the City of Placentia

Temporary three yard container

A household or small project with more material than the carts and a bulky pickup will take.

Cost & conditions
$130.2 for the published FY 2026-27 rate for a temporary three yard container for three days with the dump included, with each additional day priced separately. Placentia accounts ordering one of the three yard to thirty yard rental containers the City lists for residential cleanups and removal of construction debris. Confirm the load, the placement and the project's diversion requirement when the container is ordered.
Arrange it
Order the container from Republic Services and confirm delivery, placement and pull timing before it is dropped.

Priced for three days with the dump included and each additional day charged on top. Household hazardous waste, paint and solvents cannot go in the container, and a covered construction project still needs its waste management plan.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Placentia has no city transfer station or public dump, so the self-haul route a resident actually uses is the county household hazardous waste program. The closest center is the Anaheim Collection Center at 1071 N. Blue Gum Street, free for Orange County residents, open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and closed on major holidays and during rainy weather, where paint, solvents, cleaners, motor oil and filters, antifreeze, batteries, fluorescent bulbs, pesticides, pool supplies, thermostats, expired medicine and consumer electronics are accepted within a limit of 15 gallons or 125 pounds per vehicle per trip. Everything else leaves the curb: the hauler collects furniture, beds, couches, chairs, washers, dryers, stoves, lawnmowers, appliances and electronics at the curb by appointment. A construction or cleanout load goes into one of the three yard to thirty yard rental containers the City lists for residential cleanups and construction debris, and a covered project also has to meet the City's 65% diversion requirement and file its waste management plan. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Placentia.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Placentia?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Placentia?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Can construction debris go in the carts?

No. The hauler's materials sheet marks construction debris as not applicable to residential and commercial accounts and lists construction and demolition debris as unacceptable bulk, so a project needs a rental container arranged with Republic Services.Official guidance

What does a construction project have to do?

The City adopted the 2022 California Green Building Standards Code, which requires at least 65% of the non-hazardous construction and demolition waste to be recycled or salvaged. A waste management plan is required for the listed project types, including anything 500 square feet or more, all demolition, roofing projects and pool demolitions, the debris has to move through an authorized City agent or be hauled with your own forces, and a security deposit applies that starts at a low figure and can rise to three percent of the project value depending on size or tonnage.Official guidance

Who collects trash in Placentia?

Republic Services, under an exclusive franchise that took effect on July 20, 2010 and runs through November 19, 2037, with an amended and restated franchise agreement effective July 1, 2026. Customer service, including bulky pickups, is (714) 238-3300, and the City takes unresolved issues at recycling@placentia.org.Official guidance

What does weekly collection cost a household?

The FY 2026-27 rate for standard single family three cart service is billed as an annual assessment on the property tax roll. The monthly rate is made up of a service fee, a landfill cost and a City refuse and recycling coordinator fee, and additional containers are priced separately, with an extra recycling container carrying no charge.Official guidance

Can I rent a container for a cleanup?

Yes. The City lists three yard to thirty yard rental containers for residential cleanups and removal of construction debris, ordered through Republic Services. The published rate schedule prices a temporary three yard container for three days with the dump included and charges each additional day separately.Official guidance

Where can I get a free kitchen pail for food scraps?
