Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Construction and demolition material

Not on the regular city route

Construction materials are refused in the bulky pile and belong at a certified sorting facility or in a temporary debris box.

City cost & eligibility
No retained body publishes a rate for a debris box or for the certified sorting facilities, so confirm the cost with the provider before ordering. Temporary debris boxes come from the city's eligible providers, mixed construction and demolition material has to go to a certified sorting facility, and a Street Use Permit is required when the box cannot sit on private property.
When & how
Order the debris box from one of the city's eligible providers, or deliver mixed material to a certified sorting facility such as GreenWaste Florin Perkins at 4201 Florin Perkins Road, L&D Landfill at 8635 Fruitridge Road or Sierra Waste at 8260 Berry Avenue, and call the facility first about what it takes.
Get it ready
Keep asphalt, concrete, dirt, rocks, bricks, sheetrock and roofing out of the bulky pile, place the box on private property whenever possible, and keep paint, solvents and other hazardous material out of the load.

Drop large items free at a Sacramento County facility

A household with a large appliance, television, computer, mattress or box spring, clean metal, up to four passenger tires, or a small clean load of bricks, concrete or tiles.

Cost & conditions
No charge. Free residential drop-off at Kiefer Landfill and the North Area Recovery Station when the load contains nothing but free items, with large appliances limited to two a day and passenger or light truck tires to four a day.
Arrange it
Take the items to Kiefer Landfill at 12701 Kiefer Blvd. in Sloughhouse or the North Area Recovery Station at 4450 Roseville Road in North Highlands during their published hours, and call 916-875-5555 with any questions.

A load that mixes free items with other waste is charged the regular gate rate, fluids and removable batteries come out first, batteries and fluids go to a household hazardous waste facility, items with built-in batteries must go to an electronic waste program, and personal data should be erased before a device is handed over. Bricks, concrete without rebar up to 36 inches, and clean asphalt, tiles, rocks and stucco are free at Kiefer Landfill only.

Self-haul household waste to a county facility

A household with a vehicle load of household waste, furniture, appliances, mattresses or other bulky material that does not fit a curbside pickup.

Cost & conditions
Gate fees at Kiefer Landfill and the North Area Recovery Station are published on separate county fee schedules that were not retained, so confirm the rate for the load before hauling.
Arrange it
Kiefer Landfill at 12701 Kiefer Blvd. in Sloughhouse is open Monday to Friday 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the North Area Recovery Station at 4450 Roseville Road in North Highlands is open Monday to Friday 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., both arriving at least 15 minutes before closing.

Cover and secure the load because that is the law, remove fluids and removable batteries first, take items with built-in batteries to an electronic waste program, and separate green waste and clean wood for composting. Kiefer Landfill is the only county facility that accepts treated wood waste.

Order a temporary debris box or use a certified sorting facility

A remodel, cleanout or demolition project with more material than the bulky pile will take.

Cost & conditions
The city lists eligible debris box providers and certified sorting facilities but publishes no rates, so confirm the cost, the container size and the accepted material directly with the provider or facility.
Arrange it
Order the box from one of the city's eligible providers, including Atlas Disposal at 916.455.2800 and the other companies listed on the city page, or deliver mixed construction and demolition material to GreenWaste Florin Perkins at 4201 Florin Perkins Road, L&D Landfill at 8635 Fruitridge Road or Sierra Waste at 8260 Berry Avenue.

Containers go on private property whenever possible, and a Street Use Permit is required when that is not practical. Projects with a permit valuation over $250,000 have to manage construction and demolition waste for diversion under CalGreen and the municipal code.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Rancho Cordova households have two curbside routes for large items and two county routes behind them. Atlas Disposal takes up to three free bulky piles a year of no more than 10 cubic yards, scheduled before anything goes out and set out by 6 a.m. on the collection day. Anything the bulky pile refuses has a destination: mattresses, large appliances, electronics, clean metal and up to four passenger tires are free at Kiefer Landfill and the North Area Recovery Station when the load contains nothing but free items, hazardous material goes to the drop-off facility on the Roseville Road site or to Kiefer's antifreeze, battery, oil and paint collection, and construction material moves through a temporary debris box from one of the city's eligible providers or through a certified sorting facility such as GreenWaste Florin Perkins, L&D Landfill or Sierra Waste. County gate fees and provider rates are published separately, loads must be covered and secured, and fluids and removable batteries come out before anything is handed over. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Rancho Cordova.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Rancho Cordova?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Rancho Cordova?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

Where does construction debris go in Rancho Cordova?

Not in the bulky pile, which refuses asphalt, concrete, dirt, rocks, bricks, sheetrock and roofing. Mixed construction and demolition material has to go to a certified sorting facility such as GreenWaste Florin Perkins, L&D Landfill or Sierra Waste, and temporary debris boxes are ordered from the city's eligible providers, with a Street Use Permit when the box cannot sit on private property.Official guidance
