Book the unwanted bags and boxes left after packing. Choose an available pickup day before you hand back the keys, and arrange to have them outside.
You do not need a whole house of junk. Select the bags, boxes and larger items you actually have. Your combined price is shown online.

A few simple choices turn a mixed pile into a clear booking. No need to estimate how much of a truck it might fill.
Count each trash bag or filled household box. Books and media go by the box. Clothes, bedding and shoes go by the filled bag. Toys packed together have a Box of toys choice. Ask us about unusually heavy or oversized bags and boxes first.
Empty cardboard is a different choice: choose single empty boxes or tied bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Compacted bales have their own weight-based choices and require loading-dock access. A Storage bin choice covers the empty bin itself; ask us to confirm the contents if they are going too.
Add the actual larger item alongside your bags and boxes, such as a sofa, chair or mattress. It has its own price and preparation. Keep construction materials and items needing special handling out of ordinary household bags.

EDCO collects large items generated from within the home on a bulky item pickup, set out at the curb or the end of the driveway by 6:00 a.m. on the appointed day and taken by a separate truck. The pickup is offered for a nominal fee per item, and EDCO also mails a free bulky item cleanup coupon twice a year.
Furniture is the first item on the operator's acceptable list for a bulky item pickup, and the resource guide's bulky examples add carpet, rugs and book shelves. A couch therefore travels on the per item pickup or on the free cleanup coupon.
A mattress is one of the operator's bulky item examples, and the resource guide adds the only published preparation rule for it: the mattress should be wrapped before it is set out, and special mattress disposal bags are sold at hardware stores.

Wrap a mattress before it goes out, keep each piece where the crew can reach it, and keep hazardous chemicals, electronics, fluorescent bulbs, medical waste, auto parts, tires, concrete, dirt and construction debris out of the pile entirely.
