Get it ready
Televisions, monitors and other cathode ray tube devices are classified as universal waste because they contain lead and mercury, so they are illegal in the garbage and must not go into the recycling cart.
Set carts out weekly by 6 a.m. on the service day, even when they are not full, and bring them back in within 24 hours after service. Waste Management does not operate on the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year's Day, and a service day that falls on or after a holiday is delayed by one day for the rest of that week.
