The Village lists a scrap metal yard that takes most large appliances, donation outlets that accept working appliances, and the household's own private hauler.

Get it ready
Empty and defrost the unit, keep refrigerant appliances out of the spring event entirely because large appliances are refused there, and consider donating a working appliance rather than scrapping it.
Mattresses and box springs, large appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers and vacuums, CRT tube or projection televisions, construction related materials, tires, medicines and prescriptions, biological waste, asbestos, ammunition and explosives, commercial supplies, incandescent bulbs and smoke detectors are all refused. Hazardous chemicals are accepted only in proper containers, because leaking or empty containers, unknown or unlabelled material, insecticides and radioactive items are turned away.
A private hauler is the household's own arrangement
Because the Village does not provide residential trash or recycling, each household contracts with a private company, and the Village keeps no comprehensive list of providers. Anything that misses the spring event or is refused there goes through that private company, so the item list, the service day and the price are settled with the hauler rather than with the Village.
Use the specialist route for bedding, appliances and electronics
The Village publishes its own short list of hard-to-recycle routes: a mattress recycler for bedding, a scrap metal yard for most large appliances, a Denver electronics recycler that takes household electronics, computers and televisions on weekdays and Saturdays with no appointment, a battery retailer for rechargeable and lead-acid batteries, donation outlets for reusable building material and appliances, and auto parts stores for used motor oil.
