No Evans page names a mattress or box spring, and the cleanup event lists furniture without mentioning bedding, so the route has to be confirmed with the city before the unit is loaded.
City cost & eligibility
The city publishes no mattress entry for the cleanup event and no per item price, so confirm whether a mattress or box spring is accepted inside the furniture category with Evans Customer Service at (970) 475-1170 before buying a voucher. A mattress that is accepted would ride the standard voucher load.
When & how
Ask during city hall hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and before the event date so the voucher and the load can be planned.
Get it ready
Keep the unit dry and wrapped, count the mattress and box spring separately when confirming the load, and keep it inside the property until the event rather than storing it outside, because the city code bars outdoor storage of indoor furnishings where it is visible from the street.
Buy the cleanup voucher and sort the load before the gate
The Community Cleanup Event runs on a voucher that covers a standard size pickup truck load of debris, sold at the Evans Community Complex customer service windows during normal business hours or at the gate on the day of the event, with proof of residency shown by a government issued photo ID or a current city utility bill. At the site the load has to be dumped in the location organized for its type, separating general trash, metal and tires, because that is what keeps the events running and the vouchers cheap.
The city code limits what can sit outside on a residential property
Evans Municipal Code section 8.24.060 requires all trash to be contained in approved receptacles. Residential property may not store outdoors anything not customarily stored outdoors in a residential neighborhood where it is visible from a public street, sidewalk, alley or neighboring ground level, and the code names construction materials, tires, household appliances and upholstered furniture intended for indoor use. Construction materials may stay out only for up to 60 days under a building permit or 30 days without one.

Arrange it
Buy the voucher in advance or at the gate, then take the sorted load to the event address between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the published date.
One standard pickup truck load per voucher, commercial waste is not allowed, tires are priced separately, and dirt, rock, concrete, roofing shingles, construction material, air conditioners, televisions, monitors and household chemicals are refused.

General household waste that is not commercial, yard waste, leaves, furniture, passenger vehicle tires at the published chart prices, scrap iron and metal, refrigerators and freezers, e-waste including computer towers, keyboards, mice, printers and home electronics, and tree limbs under eight inches in diameter and under ten feet long.
Open to Evans utility customers who pay for trash service through their bill, with proof of residency for the voucher, and one standard size pickup truck load per voucher.
