The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.
Flat-screen TVs
Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.
Tube TVs
An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.
TV stands and other electronics
The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Electronic waste is refused at the Front Range Landfill, and the fee schedule states that televisions are no longer accepted there at any size. The Town's disposal guide routes computers, printers and televisions to retail and electronics recycling counters, and Weld County links residents to the state list of electronics recyclers.
City cost & eligibility
The Front Range Landfill does not accept electronic waste or televisions, so no landfill fee applies. A retail counter or an electronics recycler sets its own acceptance list and its own charge.
When & how
The county household hazardous waste facilities take cell phones on their regular operating days, and retail recycling counters keep their own store hours, so confirm the counter's hours before loading a vehicle.
Get it ready
Wipe personal data before any electronics handover, remove rechargeable batteries where the recycler asks for it, and keep every television and monitor out of a landfill load so the truck is not turned away at the scale.
Hazardous waste arrives in intact containers of five gallons or less
Weld County will not accept hazardous waste in a container larger than five gallons, every container has to be intact and not leaking, and nothing can arrive in a plastic bag, because staff have to be able to see each item rather than open it. A household is limited to 200 pounds per drop-off, per day of operation, per household, and larger amounts have to come back on another day.
Confirm the household hazardous waste days before loading a vehicle
The county's own page and the Town's 2024 guide describe the Greeley and Dacono household hazardous waste schedules differently, and both facilities close for major holidays, including the Saturday next to a holiday that falls on a Friday or Monday. Confirm the current day and hours with the county, and remember that business waste is taken by appointment only and is never accepted on a residential drop-off day.

The counters in the Town's guide set their own acceptance lists and their own charges, and the guide itself advises calling ahead to make sure a store will take the amount and type of material.
