Bulk item pickup and the county large item voucher

Waste Connections takes a bulk item such as furniture or carpet for a published charge per item with 48 hours notice, and Weld County issues a free voucher for one landfill trip up to one ton for large items like mattresses, couches and tables.
City cost & eligibility
From $15 for the published bulk item pickup charge for one item. The town lists bulk item pick up at 15.00 per item and says to call Waste Connections customer service to schedule, with at least 48 hours notice and possibly additional charges. The county voucher is a separate free option: one truckload level with the bed rails or one trailer load, up to one ton, at the North Weld, Buffalo Ridge or Front Range landfill, with anything heavier billed by the landfill. The voucher program runs from March 2 to October 31, 2026.

Get it ready
Keep trash and yard waste out of the pile and out of the cart lid, because the hauler will not take an overloaded tote, and leave at least two feet around the containers with no vehicle parked within ten feet on service day.
