Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Televisions and electronics

Special rules apply

Electronics are not eligible for a Superior bulky pickup, so a television or computer goes to Eco-Cycle's hard-to-recycle centre, where computers, phones and tablets carry no item fee but displays, monitors and televisions do.

City cost & eligibility
Eco-Cycle charges a facility fee on top of an item fee for displays, monitors and televisions, while computers, mobile phones and tablets carry no item fee because of their material value, and the amounts live in the centre's downloadable fee chart rather than on the accepted items page. Confirm the current total at 303-444-6634 before loading the car.
When & how
Take the device to the Center for Hard-to-Recycle Materials at 6400 Arapahoe Road in Boulder after checking the current hours and fee chart, because the hauler's bulky program does not accept electronics.
Get it ready
Wipe personal data from a computer, phone or drive before it leaves the house, and keep electronics and batteries out of every cart. Broken cathode-ray glass is charged by weight, so handle television tubes carefully, and printers and cartridges are taken at the electronics register.

The town contract covers some neighbourhoods and not others

Superior's waste service runs under a Republic Services contract that started on March 31, 2025, with the cost based on the garbage cart size and three carts for garbage, recycling and compost. The town lists the neighbourhoods on that contract, and it states that garbage, recycling and opt-in compost for Rock Creek, Saddlebrooke and the Summit come from the Rock Creek Master Homeowners Association through its own Waste Connections contract until 2028, after which those areas join the town service. Service reminders are the same either way: garbage bagged, recycling and yard waste loose, carts at the curb by 7 a.m. on Mondays, three feet apart and eight feet from obstacles.

A bulky pickup is priced per item and some items are excluded

Bulky pickups on the town contract are paid rather than included, and the hauler publishes the prices per item for furniture, mattresses and non-refrigerant appliances. The same page lists electronics, batteries, tires, refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners as not eligible for bulk pickup and sends them to Eco-Cycle's Center for Hard-to-Recycle Materials in Boulder. Pickups are booked by phone or online, and the town asks residents to call ahead for large items.

Hazardous products go to the county and hard-to-recycle material to Eco-Cycle

Paint, motor oil, batteries, pesticides and acids never go in a cart. Everything the county facility and the carts will not take, including electronics, mattresses and refrigerant appliances, goes to Eco-Cycle's Center for Hard-to-Recycle Materials at 6400 Arapahoe Road in Boulder, which charges a facility fee plus an item fee that varies by material.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self-hauling in Superior splits between three routes. Household bulky items such as furniture, mattresses, box springs and non-refrigerant appliances are paid pickups on the town contract with Republic Services, which publishes a per item price for each and schedules them at 303-286-0800 or online; the same page lists electronics, batteries, tires, refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners as not eligible, so those do not go on the truck. The second route is Eco-Cycle's Center for Hard-to-Recycle Materials at 6400 Arapahoe Road in Boulder, which takes electronics, mattresses and box springs by the unit, refrigerant appliances and other hard-to-recycle material for a facility fee plus an item fee that varies by material and is published in a fee chart, and which refuses moldy or bed-bug infested bedding and automotive tires. The third is Boulder County's Hazardous Materials Management Facility at 1901 63rd Street in Boulder, free to Superior residents with proof of residency, open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a 400 pound daily limit, for paint, oils, batteries, pesticides and acids. Yard material stays local at the town's yard waste site at 2125 Honey Creek Lane, open to residents with identification on Wednesdays after 2 p.m. and weekends from 8 a.m. until dusk, with an extended Christmas tree window from December 26 to January 31. A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Superior.

How much does TV removal cost in Superior?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Superior?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.
