Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Electronics and televisions

Accepted with preparation

Computers, televisions and electronic waste of any kind are refused at Spring Cleanup, and the published routes are the two annual city hazardous waste events with a three item electronics limit and the Boulder CHaRM.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Free at the Broomfield household hazardous and electronic waste events, which run twice a year by appointment and limit each household to three electronic items. The CHaRM route may charge a fee.
When & how
Book an appointment for a city event, with the 2026 fall event on Saturday, October 3 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Broomfield Municipal Shops on 3951 W 144th Ave., or use the electronics recycling route at the Boulder CHaRM.
Get it ready
Wipe personal data before handover, keep electronics of every kind out of Spring Cleanup because the event refuses them, and count the items, because a household may bring no more than three electronic pieces to a city event, for example two televisions and one computer. Corded appliances such as microwaves and vacuum cleaners are not treated as electronics and can usually go in the regular trash or to a scrap metal facility.

Cardboard goes to the Broomfield Recycling Center at 225 Commerce Street, open around the clock, and branches under 12 inches in diameter go to the Tree Branch Recycling Facility at 2990 W. 124th Ave.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Broomfield pairs a contracted curbside programme with two well established drop-off routes. Waste Connections collects trash weekly and recycling every other week under the city contract, and anything too large for a closed trash cart can be picked up for 25 dollars per item on a scheduled day arranged on 303-288-2100. The free Spring Cleanup is the big annual route, running on four Saturdays by area with three sorted piles on the curb by 7 a.m. and taking furniture, mattresses, non-freon appliances, carpet, drywall, fencing and lightly stained or unpainted lumber while refusing electronics, tires, freon appliances, concrete, soil, sod, liquids and household trash. Electronics and household chemicals go to the two annual appointment-only city events at the Broomfield Municipal Shops on 3951 W 144th Ave., where each household is limited to three electronic items, and chemicals can also go year-round and free to the Boulder County Hazardous Materials Management Facility at 1901 63rd St in Boulder by appointment, which does not take electronics. City household hazardous and electronic waste event site

Broomfield Municipal Shops

3951 W 144th Ave., Broomfield, CO 80023

Household hazardous waste such as aerosols, fertilizers and weedkillers, plus electronic waste, at the city's appointment-only events. Each household may bring no more than three electronic items, for example two televisions and one computer.

Appointments are required for every event. Corded appliances such as microwaves and vacuum cleaners are not treated as electronics and can usually go in the regular trash or to a scrap metal facility after checking with the hauler. The site is an event venue rather than a year-round drop-off, so household chemicals outside the event dates go to the Boulder County facility instead.

Event days only. The city typically hosts one spring and one fall event, and the 2026 fall event runs Saturday, October 3 from 8 a.m. to noon, with appointments opened on August 31, 2026.

No charge. Free to Broomfield residents by appointment, with questions handled on 303-438-6329 or sguyot@broomfield.org.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Broomfield.

How much does TV removal cost in Broomfield?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Broomfield?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Where do Broomfield televisions and computers go?
